Johnny Damon is undeniably the best charter guest on Below Deck Mediterranean. The MLB player and his friends just want to enjoy their time together, which is exactly how a luxury vacation should be.

Every week, fans get a small glimpse into the world of private yachting on Below Deck. While much of the drama happens among the crew, charter guests also present a challenge. At times, the crises featured on the series are due to charter guests who are either rude, overly picky, or entirely too demanding. The cast and crew make it look easy to run the massive boat, but it’s not all smooth-sailing below deck, particularly when dealing with an especially nasty group of guests.

Considering how frustrating many guests are, it’s always a relief to see charter guests who just want to have fun, like Johnny Damon. Fans were thrilled to see Johnny and his wife, Michelle, step back into the reality TV world. Not only have Yankee and Red Sox fans been able to come together and bond, but viewers also really enjoy watching the couple have a normal and extremely fun vacation. After arriving on the boat, the two-time World Series champion wasted no time in getting wasted in Ibiza. Johnny has always been a very chill charter guest who gets along with everyone on the boat. On his preference sheet, he wrote that he and his wife were “excited to get some time away from their kids and visit with their closest friends.”

Sadly, Johnny’s first charter in France was not all that great, but the crew made up for it in spades this time around. The couple partied it up at a dance club that looked amazing. The staff was decked out in bright colors and performers were all around. Johnny drank a little too much, but both he and Michelle were living their best lives. Even Aesha Scott was forced into the fun, as she was force-fed some fruity drink. Both Johnny and Michelle look like the kind of people you want to be around. Johnny’s banter is like nothing else any charter guest has given, and fans’ hearts were warmed when Alex lobbed some golf balls at Johnny to hit off the side. A swing and a miss, but it was hilarious to watch.

While most of us were screaming at our TVs for the Damons to take us on their next trip, the episode ended with the best group ever having to say goodbye. There was some Jess and Rob drama, but it was ridiculous and boring compared to the fun moments the Damons brought with them. Even Captain Sandy Yawn looked like she was having the time of her life and did not even get upset that Johnny wanted his steak cooked longer.
