The best moveset for Jumpluff in Pokémon Go will take advantage of its Grass and Flying-typing. While the main objective of Pokémon Go is to go outside and experience the world by capturing Pokémon, there’s a surprisingly deep meta-game with PvP. Trainers are able to face off against one another in three on three Pokémon battles. The trainer with a Pokémon standing at the end is declared the winner. Since Pokémon can only have two moves in Pokémon Go, deciding these will go a long way in bringing the most out of these Pokémon.

In the case of Jumpluff, it was recently part of a Pokémon Go Community Day. Trainers were able to find and capture a Shiny Hoppip if they were lucky enough. Regardless, it was a great chance to earn more candy for Jumpluff and power up its attacks. Since Community Day spawns tons of the same type of Pokémon, it’s possible to earn hundreds of candies within a few hours. Use them to make Jumpluff as powerful as it can be. Since Jumpluff is a Flying and Grass-type Pokémon, it does have its fair share of weaknesses.

Trainers can choose a Fast move and a Charged move for each Pokémon. To bring the best out of Jumpluff, it should know the moves Infestation and Solar Beam. Infestation is a Fast Bug-type attack that does decent damage. Alternatively, players can also use Bullet Seed for the Fast attack which is a bit weaker but it makes up for it with the Same-Type-Attack-Bonus since it’s a Grass-type move. As for the Charged move, Solar Beam is the best option. It’s an incredibly powerful Grass-type attack that types a while to charge but does tons of damage.

Countering Jumpluff in Pokémon Go

Since Jumpluff is a Flying and Grass-type Pokémon, it has weaknesses to Flying, Poison, Rock, and Fire-type moves. Ice-type moves also do four times the damage, making them incredibly dangerous for Jumpluff. It’s common for many to want to use Shiny Jumpluff as part of their team after getting one during the Community Day event. Overall, there are tons of high-quality Grass-types to choose from that won’t have an x4 Ice weakness. Mega Venusaur and Zarude are some of the best attackers out there for the Grass-typing.

Jumpluff also has the chance to appear in Raid Battles as a Pokémon for trainers to capture. To participate, the player will need an active raid pass. Fortunately, it’s possible to get a free remote raid pass in Pokémon Go once a week by visiting the shop. Bringing along creatures like Glaceon and Galarian Darminitan will make quick work of this battle. Regardless, the player will need to capture Jumpluff to add it to their Pokédex.
