It’s been a long time since fans last saw Kaysar Ridha on Big Brother seasons 6 and 7, but it is safe to say that he is still one of the most popular and oft-remembered players in the history of the series. On BB6, Kaysar became the first Muslim houseguest to compete on the show. Given that the season was filmed in 2005, there’s no denying that Kaysar was forced to dodge racist remarks and defend himself against prejudices from certain other players.

Nonetheless, the very smart and charismatic Kaysar overcame all of those obstacles and still stood out on Big Brother 6. A year later, he was invited back to compete on Big Brother 7, which is also known as the first-ever All-Stars. Unfortunately, Kaysar ended up in 10th place during both seasons. He also only won one competition in each of the seasons. In any case, Kaysar never really left the fans’ minds. Even almost fifteen years later, he is still one of the most popular players from the earlier BB seasons.

Kaysar Ridha had two major acting roles immediately following Big Brother 6. First, he appeared as a reporter on The Young and The Restless (pictured below). Then, he played the character of Connor on the TV series Half & Half. However, Kaysar’s acting stint was short-lived, and he went right back to working at his field of expertise: product design. Per his LinkedIn profile, Kaysar took on a few different jobs between 2013 and 2015. During that time, he worked for companies like Socialplex Inc., General Assembly, and Qordoba. Then, he was hired by Facebook as a product designer in August 2015, where he worked for a year. Finally, in May 2016, Kaysar took the entrepreneurial leap and co-founded a company called Zbooni. That company is based in Dubai.

Currently, Kaysar lives in San Francisco and works as the vice president of digital product for Evolus. According to his profile, he’s been in this job for two years and is still employed there. On a personal level, Kaysar is married to Haseena Qudrat and is now a father. All in all, Kaysar is not particularly active on social media. At the moment, he only has 4,600 followers on Instagram and 19,000 followers on Twitter. In comparison to the more recent Big Brother houseguests, that followers’ count is somewhat low.

It is also noteworthy that Kaysar lost a very close friend to COVID-19 during this summer of 2020. Given that certain potential Big Brother 22 contestants were out of the running after testing positive for COVID-19, it’s safe to assume that this will be a fresh topic in the minds of the BB22 houseguests. In June, Kaysar shared a GoFundMe page in support of John Eric Swing, describing this friend as someone who “spent his life serving his country, community, and family.” However, a few days later, Kaysar shared a tweet acknowledging John’s passing as a result of battling COVID-19 for two weeks.

Kaysar is one of the most highly-anticipated old-school players to join the new season of Big Brother. However, given that he placed 10th both times that he was on the show, the jury is still out as to how far Kaysar will be able to go this time. Hopefully, the show will live up to its “expect the unexpected” motto when it comes to this houseguest.
