Fans are accusing Big Brother 22: All-Stars houseguests of pregaming while in sequester and following directives from BB10 winner Dan Gheesling and BB16 winner Derrick Levasseur. When rumors started that a second All-Stars was going to happen in 2020, producers approached several former houseguests that could potentially be brought back to compete. Immediate speculation started about the casting of Dan and Derrick, given that they are considered two of the best and most influential Big Brother winners of all time. As the cast began to take shape, however, a new accusation permeated the fandom: that Nicole Franzel exposed Dan and Derrick for pregaming before BB22.

Indeed, Dan and Derrick were not cast on Big Brother 22, which was surprising to many fans. However, there wasn’t a lot of solid evidence that they were actually pregaming in preparation for the season, nor that Nicole Franzel ratted on them. As the season began, however, more and more little comments started to come out indicating that several players had absolutely been in touch with Dan and Derrick recently. Fans have also pointed out suspicious connections between houseguests that were otherwise completely disconnected from each other. Now, fans are pretty convinced that there was definitely some pregaming going on before BB22 started.

Fans expected Big Brother 22 to be very different from seasons before. However, this level of alleged pregaming does seem unprecedented for the show. So, let’s get to the evidence that fans have been pointing out. First and foremost, Janelle Pierzina brought up various conversations that she had with Dan in recent times. According to Janelle, Dan revealed that Derrick was meant to be on BB22, but was ultimately kicked out after Nicole F. told production about Derrick’s pregaming. Elsewhere, fans saw Memphis Garrett suddenly going to Cody Calafiore’s HOH room to give him intel. Fans were quick to point out that there has never been any connection between Memphis and Cody, but one logical explanation would be that Dan told his friend Memphis and Derrick told his friend Cody to work together in the house. BB18 contestant Tiffany Rousso and BB8 winner Evel Dick reacted to these allegations on Twitter:

One Big Brother fan, @inappropriate, tweeted the following: “Cody didn’t know who Keesha was because he never saw BB10 but said that he liked Memphis and that he played a similar game. Who the f**k is buying this bullshit? I thought Derrick’s daughter didn’t want him to play again?” Another fan, @mfingwoof, said: “Are Derrick and Dan getting a portion of these people’s winnings or something? Why are they so invested in the pregame?” Fans of BB22 have also pointed out that there seems to be a suspiciously tight alliance between Cody and Nicole F. This is in spite of the fact that they did not get along on Big Brother 16.

It is very unlikely that fans will ever hear any direct confirmation regarding these accusations of pregaming. With that said, it seems like the fans are pretty convinced that Dan and Derrick are the invisible puppet masters of BB22.

Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8pm EST on CBS.
