Christine Varner hasn’t been watching Big Brother 23 because she thinks that the show has lost its “magic” since she competed on BB16. Christine competed on the show in season 16, which aired all the way back in 2014. Overall, she was well-liked within the house and even found herself being a part of the big alliances of the season. Unfortunately for Christine, she was evicted during week 11, which ultimately landed her in sixth place.

Best known as one of the most controversial players to compete on Big Brother over the last two decades, Christine Varner was booed by the live audience during her BB16 eviction. Going into the game, Christine was married. While inside the house, however, Christine was regularly seen flirting with future Big Brother 22: All-Stars winner Cody Calafiore. Following the conclusion of BB16, Christine and her husband ultimately decided to get a divorce.

While many former BB players tend to watch every new season, Christine Varner has chosen to tune out of Big Brother 23. During an interview with Nikki Sin, Christine explained her reasoning for not watching the current season of the show. She said, “I’m sadly not [watching], the show has kind of lost the magic since I went on it.” Despite not tuning in each week, Christine has been in contact with Brandon “Frenchie” who was evicted in week 2. Even though she hasn’t watched the season, Christine “appreciates” the game Frenchie played this summer. She said, “I just appreciate the fact that he played hard, and he seems like a genuine person.”

Aside from Frenchie, Christine is still in contact with a few other former Big Brother houseguests. Out of the entire season 16 cast, Christine talks to Zach Rance the most. Both Zach and Christine have gone on to become lifestyle and health coaches, which gives them much to talk about. Christine also keeps in touch with Brittany Martinez through social media. Meanwhile, Christine is “so proud” of Hayden Moss, who has become a fitness trainer since leave the Big Brother house. Aside from those individuals, Christine does not speak to anyone else from her season.

Considering that last summer was an All-Stars season, Christine was asked which former players would make up her ideal All-Stars cast. It was a difficult question for her to answer since there have been so many good players over the years, but Christine managed to name a few of her favorites. The players she’d love to see competing again during an All-Stars season include BB10 winner Dan Gheesling, BB15 winner Andy Herren, BB17 winner Steve Moses, and BB21 star Kat Dunn, as well as Big Brother Canada stars Liza Stinton and Aneal Ramkissoon. Ironically, Christine did not mention herself, leading fans to believe she would not give the competition another try should she be offered the opportunity.

Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8pm EST on CBS.
