When it comes to Big Brother, there are several key areas in which players need to exceed if they hope to make it to the end and win the $500,000. While the social game is a key aspect of a winning strategy, competition wins are also absolutely huge. Being HOH in Big Brother is a very important position.

When a player is HOH, not only are they safe for the week, but they nominate two people for eviction. If you’re a strong player that can win competitions, your chances of winning increase exponentially. Several houseguests are known for just how many HOH competitions they’ve won.

7 Several Houseguests Are Tied

It should be noted that the first real entry on this list has five HOH wins. However, there are numerous houseguests who are tied with one another with four HOH wins total.

Notable houseguests with this record include players such as Dani Briones. Four HOH wins, especially in a single season, which some have managed to do, is certainly nothing to sneeze at. However, it doesn’t qualify them for an entry on this list. As noted, the first player on this list has 5 HOH wins.

6 Frankie Grande: 5

While Frankie might not be one of the most beloved houseguests to ever play the game, one cannot deny that he was a strong player. He made it far into the game, and this was due in part to his competition prowess. Frankie won five HOH competitions in one season, which is an amazing feat, considering everyone else on this list has played the game at least twice.

While two of these wins saw him being dethroned due to the Battle of the Block twist, it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is a major competitive threat that arguably could be first on the list due to the fact that he managed to do it all in a single season.

5 Nicole Franzel: 6

Nicole Franzel started her Big Brother journey on the same season as Frankie, 16, but has since gone on to play in two more seasons. Over the course of her three seasons, Nicole has won a total of six HOH competitions. She won three in her first season, with two the next, and one on All-Stars.

Six competitions wins is quite the feat, and has been part of the reason that she’s made it so far in every season that she’s played. Being HOH means that you have power in the game, and Nicole’s wins allowed her to control aspects of the game in order to make it far.

4 Rachel Reilly: 6

One-time winner Rachel Reilly is known for her competition prowess, as she has won 6 HOH competitions over the two seasons that she played. Rachel was public enemy No. 1 the first time that she played the game, meaning that competitions are the only way that she was able to secure her safety in the game.

However, most of Rachel’s HOH wins (four to be exact) actually came from her second season, which could be due to the fact that she made it through far more weeks the second time she played. Nevertheless, Rachel’s HOH record is one of the best of all time.

3 Paul Abrahamian: 6

Paul Abrahamian made it to finale night both times that he played Big Brother, which means that he has had quite a few weeks to win competitions. With that in mind, it makes sense that Paul has a great record of six HOH competition wins under his belt.

Paul has an even split of three HOH wins on each of his seasons. One of his season 19 wins is especially notable due to the fact that 90% of the house was pooling their resources in order to make sure that Paul won the HOH. If that’s not control over the entire house, then what is? Either way, Paul has a great HOH competition record that very few houseguests are able to match.

2 Janelle Pierzina: 6

Janelle Pierzina is a legend of the game for several reasons, with one of them being due to the fact that she has the most competition wins of all time. Out of her total competition wins, she’s won six HOHs. It should be noted that while Janelle has achieved this record over four seasons, she was only eligible to compete in four HOH competitions total between her final two seasons.

Janelle won two HOHs on her first season, and four on the second. After her first season, Janelle was a major threat any time that she played, so her four wins during the first All-Stars season makes sense, as she couldn’t have made it to her third-place finish without them.

1 Cody Califiore: 7

Big Brother All-Stars winner Cody Califiore has won a total of seven HOHs during his two seasons on Big Brother, the most of any player of all time. Cody made it to finale night both times that he played the game, and was in a position of power throughout both of his seasons.

Cody won three HOH competitions the first time that he played the game, with four during the second. Cody basically controlled the latter half of Big Brother 22, and this was partially due to the fact that he consistently won HOH competitions and often had a major hand in deciding who went home.
