The premiere of Big Brother 23 is just a couple of days away, and most fans of the show are impressed by the cast’s diversity after a recent cast reveal. On Thursday, July 1, fans’ wishes came true as the 16 new houseguests were revealed. The reveal followed rumors that the cast would be revealed on June 30. There are so many great reasons why fans are celebrating the diversity of the upcoming season.

Before season 23 started official casting, casting director Robyn Kass announced that she would no longer be casting Big Brother as she was taking on new opportunities. She would be replaced by Big Brother: Over The Top casting director, Jesse Tannenbaum. This was already good news in the opinion of most fans, as BBOTT had one of the most diverse casts that the show had ever seen… until now. Since Jesse took over as casting director, fans have a new and diverse cast to love.

Now that fans have gotten a look at the new cast, they are weighing in all over the Internet. Fans are very excited that they see representation for themselves, as well as their community. This was a long time coming and plenty of viewers have wanted to see more diversity for many years. Even though it was stated in the past that producers planned to make the show more diverse, this is the first time that fans have truly seen diversity on the show. It was something that they weren’t sure would ever happen.

While the new cast was getting praise, some people didn’t feel like they got the diversity that the show truly deserved. Some viewers felt that the new focus on diversity was the producers’ way of telling fans to leave them alone now since they got what they wanted. Even though no one will know if this is the truth or not, when it came to production’s casting decisions, some people felt like they could have been represented better in the end.

While Big Brother 23 is still two days away from airing, viewers can get to know the cast better by checking out their bios (such as Sarah Steagall’s) right here at Screen Rant. With a new season on the way, fans of the show will hopefully have new moments that they get to call their favorites once the season finishes airing. Viewers don’t have long to wait to see the new season’s action and drama, including an exciting teams twist, unfold.
