There are several class types in Biomutant that create a lot of variety for players to explore. Each type of character brings with it a completely different playstyle and approach to combat.

The Saboteur is an interesting class type in that its combat style is all about making it easier to avoid enemy fire, as opposed to buffing attack output or defensive capabilities. It’s a lot of fun to battle with, but players should know which perks the class comes with, and which are best to equip.

The Best Perks for the Saboteur Class in Biomutant

Like all classes in Biomutant, the Saboteur has five unique class skills, and also starts with the Twin Silver Grip perk which allows players to dual wield ranged weapons right from the start. If dual-wielding is the preferred playstyle, the Saboteur is a great place to start.

Hypergenetic (Starting Perk)

The Hypergenetic perk decreases the energy cost of dodging by 20%. Given that the entire intent of the Saboteur is to avoid taking damage, utilizing this Perk is a no-brainer!

Reflexes (1 Skill Point)

With only one skill point, players can increase the chance to dodge enemy fire by 10%. It may not sound like a lot, but given the rate of fire of some enemy guns, the effect stacks quite nicely.

Agile (2 Skill Points; Unlocks at Level 7)

Agile increases dodge distance by 20%. It makes an already nimble class even more adept at controlling the positioning and thereby the flow of combat.

Moving Target (2 Skill Points; Unlocks at Level 7)

This skill increases the biomutant’s speed in combat by 5%. It’s the least valuable of all of the class-exclusive perks, and unless players find that they are really struggling to move faster, it can be safely overlooked for other more effective perks.

Evasive (3 Skill Points; Unlocks at Level 15)

Without a doubt, a must-have perk. Evasive adds 20% armor to the biomutant while it’s dodging or airborne. Given that Saboteur characters will spend a vast majority of their time dodging or jumping, this additional armor will practically always be active.

At the end of the day, Saboteurs in Biomutant should focus on skills that enhance their natural ability to dash around enemies and avoid all manner of attacks. Players using this class should focus more on avoiding damage, rather than dishing it out or absorbing it. It’s a highly dynamic class that also has the benefit of utilizing dual-wielded ranged weapons right from the outset. It’s one of the most entertaining classes to play in the entire game.

Biomutant is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
