Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise was filmed at a location fans know and love – Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico. Aside from season 1, which was filmed in Tulum, the reality series has always been filmed at the same resort. Summer 2021 is the first time a season of BIP will be back on ABC since 2019. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the network was unable to safely film a season last summer, forcing a year-long hiatus.

Now that safety protocols have been put into place and every guest quarantined for at least two weeks, BIP was able to film once again. Contestants who appeared on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette over the past two years are now making up for lost time this summer. In addition, contestants from many years ago are also making a comeback. Even a former Bachelorette will be looking for love in Mexico this year, and Playa Escondida offers the perfect backdrop for all the contestants to find their forever person.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

According to Distractify, Playa Escondida Resort has several five-star reviews on both Google and Yelp, with former guests raving about their accommodations. Reviewers gave high praise to the service, the fantastic cuisine, and the gorgeous view that they got to stare at every day during their visit. Even though Playa Escondida is considered a three-star hotel, it offers five-star services and accommodations. On the Playa Escondida website, guests can book a stay in a bungalow or a penthouse for less than $200 a night, while a beachfront villa can cost as low as $230 per night. However, some rooms are a little more pricey, ranging from as low as $300 to as high as $395 per night. Luxuries such as a room with an air conditioner, jacuzzi, kitchen, or golf cart can raise the price per night. If these prices are still too high for the budget, Playa Escondida has a few rooms that cost less than $200 a night.

Along with a fabulous room, the resort also gives its guests access to a spa, private beach, several pools, and an on-site restaurant and bar, where Wells Adams spends most of his time. The spa services take place outside in the beautiful Mexican heat underneath an adorable little hut. They offer treatments such as hot stone therapy, deep tissue massage, a four hands massage, and a facial. Playa Escondida’s restaurant and bar are located outside and surrounded by a gorgeous pool with a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. The resort even has access to a private beach and a hidden beach cove perfect for swimming. They also offer yoga sessions on top of a private yoga terrace with open views of the water.

ABC did not cheap out when looking for the perfect resort to film BIP. Not only does the resort offer wonderful service and food, but it has amazing accommodations anyone on vacation would consider a luxury. However, this does leave fans wondering if the contestants have access to all of these outstanding amenities. Hopefully, they do!
