BIP: Ashley Iaconetti Reveals Why She & Jared Haibon Are Living Separately

Bachelor in Paradise alum Ashley Iaconetti revealed why she and her husband Jared Haibon are living separately ahead of the birth of their first child. Ashley had a huge crush on Jared on BIP before the couple ever got together. They ended up dating after appearing on the spin-off show and are now married. In July 2021, the pair announced that they’re expecting a baby in February. Ashley and Jared shared the good news on Instagram with a caption that gave fans an insight into how Ashley was feeling in her pregnancy so far. Since then, Ashley has been chronicling her journey through social media.

Not only do Jared and Ashley have a baby boy (who they announced will be named Dawson) on the way, but they also have a new business to look after. The couple opened a café in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Audrey’s Coffee House and Lounge, which is named after Ashley’s mom, goes from being a coffee house during the day to a wine bar at night. The café had its grand opening in December, where Bachelor Nation fans showed up to support Jared and Ashley’s new endeavor. The menu included sustainably sourced coffee and charcuterie boards that were prepared by Ashley. Fans can continue to support the couple by visiting Jared and Ashley’s new café.

Ashley recently revealed why she and Jared decided to live apart before their baby is born. While Ashley wants to deliver her baby in the hospital her dad works at, Jared has to run Audrey’s Coffee House and Lounge. “I wanted to be somewhere where I was the most comfortable, especially since I’m, like, legitimately terrified of birth and always have been,” Ashley told Us Weekly. Ashley said that while this was both of their decision, it was mostly hers. “This was not ideal … but he’s gonna fly in at least every 10 days,” she said of Jared’s plans. Even though Jared has to manage their business, he stressed that he would “run through heaven and hell” to be there for the birth of their child.

Ashely also spoke about her pregnancy on her podcast with Ben Higgins. The BIP star revealed her weird pregnancy cravings which include the desire to eat cleaning products. Ashley thinks it could be related to an iron deficiency, and that it’s actually common for pregnant women to crave inedible objects like cleaning supplies. Ben and Ashley laughed over how weird it is, and Ashley reassured him that she obviously wouldn’t really do it. She also said that she’s always wanted to eat powder laundry detergent and chlorine tablets that go in the pool.

Ashley and Jared are definitely a fan favorite couple to come off of Bachelor in Paradise. Not many couples come out of the Bachelor franchise unscathed, but they made it through. They had one of the most drawn-out relationships, with Ashley pining after Jared for so long, but it’s great for fans to see hem finally together. It seems like the couple will be busy this year, in a good way, with their new baby and café.
