BIP: Ashley Iaconetti Shares Video Of Baby Dawson Watching Bachelor

Bachelor In Paradise star Ashley Iaconetti shared a video of her and her husband Jared Haibon’s newborn son, Dawson, watching an episode of The Bachelor. Ashley and Jared met in 2015 on Bachelor In Paradise season 2. Ashley had previously appeared on Chris Soules’ season earlier that year, and Jared was a contestant on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette a few months later. They did not become an official couple until 2018 and got engaged in June of that year. They got married on August 11, 2019. On January 31, Ashley gave birth to their first baby, a son named Dawson Dimitri Brady Haibon.

In an Amazon Live video, Ashley and Jared revealed Dawson’s name, explaining that it comes from Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Jack Dawson, from Titanic. They added the middle name Brady because Jared’s favorite NFL player, Tom Brady, officially announced his retirement the day after Dawson was born. Dawson is already so loved by Bachelor Nation. Jared recently shared that franchise stars, Jade Roper, Tanner Tolbert, Nick Viall, Dean Unglert, and Ben Higgins will be like aunts and uncles to his son.

In an Instagram Story, Ashley shared a video of Dawson watching The Bachelor on January 31, his first night in the world. Ashley filmed the video from her hospital bed, while Jared stood burping Dawson. A scene from Clayton Echard’s most recent episode of the show played on the television screen. Ashley captioned the video, “Dawson, you wouldn’t be here without that show on the screen.” In the video, Jared said, “Dawson’s first episode of The Bachelor. Well, if you don’t count all the ones that he heard while in the womb.” As the co-host of The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous Podcast, with Ben Higgins, Ashley watched and analyzed all of the franchise shows throughout her pregnancy.

Ashley then said, “Let me see your face” so that Jared would show Dawson’s face to the camera. Jared joked, “He’s getting burped. He’s like, ‘Mom, I’m a tad busy right now. Yeah. Very overwhelmed.'” Baby Dawson then snuggled into Jared’s shoulder, and Ashley said, “Aw.” Dawson then made a little sound. This was a special bonding moment for the family, as Dawson watched his first episode of the show that started it all for his parents. Even though he is too little to understand, some day he will know the importance of The Bachelor in his parents’ relationship. Ashley has said that she wouldn’t mind if her child joined the show in the future because it was such a positive experience for her and Jared. They fell in love because of the show.

The video of Baby Dawson watching The Bachelor was special in so many ways. Bachelor Nation had anticipated his arrival for so long, and now he is finally here. Ashley and Jared are proof that shows such as Bachelor In Paradise can lead to true love. Perhaps some day they will be the proud parents on the hometown episode when Bachelor Dawson brings his future wife home to meet them.
