BIP: James Bonsall & Aaron Clancy Share Valentine’s Day Bromance Plans

Bachelor In Paradise fan-favorites James Bonsall and Aaron Clancy shared their Valentine’s Day bromance dinner plans. James, a 31-year-old software salesman from La Jolla, California, and Aaron, a 27-year-old insurance agent from San Diego, California, first met in Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette in 2021. Later that year, they met up again for Bachelor In Paradise season 7 and became such close friends that they seemed to enjoy hanging out with each other more than they cared about dating the women who were there. After many unsuccessful dates, James and Aaron hilariously left the beach together, declaring that their friendship was more important than any other relationship that they had formed while in Mexico.

After the show ended, James moved to San Diego, where he and Aaron are now roommates. Fans loved the bromance between James and Aaron so much that they have suggested they should be co-bachelors in an upcoming season of The Bachelor. This would be an exciting change to the show’s format. For now, Bachelor Nation can follow them on their Instagram accounts, through which they often share funny and heartwarming posts about each other and their friendship. When James announced that he would be joining host Becca Kufrin on The Bachelor Live On Stage tour, Aaron wrote in the comments section and pretended to be upset that James was leaving him. They are truly two peas in a pod.

In an interview with Bachelor Nation, James and Aaron shared their plans for their bromance dinner on Valentine’s Day. When asked if they had any plans for their meal, James said that the options are endless, but if he had to choose “one epic meal” on Valentine’s Day, it would probably be “endless amounts of sushi and a nice tall glass of whiskey.” He admitted that he and Aaron “are not very skilled in the kitchen, so, sadly, I think our best bet is takeout at this point…Not mad about it, though!” It appears that he and Aaron will be ordering from their favorite restaurant on Valentine’s Day.

When it comes to food that they think is the most romantic, James and Aaron differ in their opinions. James said, “Oooh, you can’t go wrong with a juicy cheeseburger!” Aaron disagreed, saying, “Nah, it’s anything Italian and that’s facts.” He then revealed that James once made him a delicious risotto. James said that although he doesn’t usually cook for Aaron, with the exception of the risotto, he has brought him In-N-Out Burger a few times, which is Aaron’s favorite. James then shared that Aaron never cooks for him but only offers him shots at the bar. He joked that it is “very upsetting.” When asked if this was true, Aaron countered James’ story, saying, “I’ve made him a steak dinner!” The laughs are endless when it comes to these two.

James and Aaron may not have found romantic love on Bachelor In Paradise, but their bromance has evolved into a truly supportive friendship. Although they enjoy joking with each other, anyone can see that they really do have respect and love for one other. February 14 is a day that celebrates all different kinds of love. Hopefully, James and Aaron will have a very happy Valentine’s Day.
