Fans tore into Gray on Reddit over comments he made while describing his relationship with Kelly Mi Li. Gray said, “It’s like a mother’s embrace. It’s real.” Fans were surprised by this association considering the rocky relationship with his own mother. “Looks like he’s trying to fill the void his mom left with his relationships,” wrote Reddit user sandhya_parimi. While his remark came during a briefly peaceful time, most of the first season showed how toxic he was in his relationship with Kelly. One of the most contentious moments came in the first episode when Andrew screamed at Kelly for leaving him alone in their Paris Hotel Room without waking him up first. Gray has refuted his portrayal on the show. In an interview on the Sarah Scoop show, Gray commented, “I truly believe my loyal fans know who I am.” That being said, the show was filmed back in 2018 and 2019, and now the couple claim he has changed a lot since that time.

The conclusion of the first season was highlighted by Kelly kicking Andrew out of her house after a series of heated arguments. Fans applauded her online for the move. However, since the release of the show in mid-January, Andrew Gray, and Kelly Mi Li have tried to set the record straight. The pair is still dating years after filming. In 2020, the couple took a break but are now back together once again.
