Blood of Zeus is a Netflix original anime that chronicles an imagined forgotten chapter of Greek mythology. It follows the life of Heron, an outcast in his town, who discovers he is the son of the mighty god Zeus. The series comes from Powerhouse Animation, the same studio that produced the ever-popular series Castlevania. Blood of Zeus was written by brothers Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, who are combining their interests in Greek history and anime. The brothers previously collaborated on Henry Cavill-led Immortals and a film adaptation of anime series Death Note. Shaunt Nigoghossian directs, having previously worked as a storyboard artist on projects such as Batman: The Killing Joke, Justice League Action, and Transformers Prime.
