Here’s everyone who stars in the Blue Miracle cast, and where viewers might recognize them from. Blue Miracle tells the true story of a Mexican man who tries to save his orphanage by winning a fishing competition in 2014. Dennis Quaid co-stars as a grizzled captain who hopes to re-live the past.

In Blue Miracle, Hurricane Odile causes flooding at the orphanage Casa Hogar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. “Papa” Omar and his wife Becca owe a bank over $100,000, and reach out to local businessman Wayne Bisbee for assistance. Blue Miracle follows the Casa Hogar supervisors and their residents as them team up with Captain Wade Malloy and try to win “The Super Bowl of Fishing Tournaments,” Bisbee’s Black & Blue.

Quaid headlines the Blue Miracle cast, but younger viewers may be more familiar with his co-star, Jimmy Gonzales, who plays one of the three Kings in Mayans M.C. The supporting cast includes a voice actor from the 2017 Pixar movie Coco, and Chilean actress Fernanda Urrejola adds some extra star power as Papa Omar’s wife.

Dennis Quaid As Captain Wade Malloy

Dennis Quaid stars as Captain Wade Malloy, a marlin fisherman from San Diego who once won the Black & Blue tournament two years in a row. Quaid portrayed Gordon Cooper in the 1983 movie The Right Stuff  and Jerry Lee Lewis in Great Balls of Fire! His other roles include Frank Sullivan in Frequency, Frank Whitaker in Far from Heaven, and Jack Hall in The Day After Tomorrow.

Jimmy Gonzales As Omar Venegas

Jimmy Gonzales portrays Omar Venegas, a supervisor at Casa Hogar with no fishing experience. Gonzalez appeared as Commander Crane in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Canche in Mayans M.C. His other roles include Devante in Too Old to Die Young and Gil Sandoval in Lodge 49.

Miguel Angel Garcia As Moco

Miguel Angel Garcia portrays Moco, a teenager from El Zacatal who steals a watch from Captain Wade and later joins Casa Hogar. Garcia portrayed Keith Flores in Ensemble and Wyatt Fuentes in Deputy.

Anthony Gonzalez As Geco

Anthony Gonzalez appears as Geco, a teenager from El Chaparral who clashes with Moco, but only because of a familial incident in El Zacatal. Gonzalez voiced Miguel in Coco and portrayed Santiago in Shameless season 9.

Isaac Arellanes as Wiki: A quiet member of the Casa Hogar team who is urged to embrace reeling. Isaac Arellanes portrayed 11-Year-Old Daniel in Euphoria and Ruben Reyna in Ghostwriter.

Dana Wheeler-Nicholson as Tricia Bisbee: Wayne’s sister. Dana Wheeler-Nicholson portrayed Gail Stanwyk in Fletch and Mattie Earp in Tombstone. Her other roles in include Angela Collette in Friday Night Lights and Beverly O’Connor in Nashville.

Raymond Cruz as Hector: Omar’s friend who gives the team t-shirts. Raymond Cruz portrayed Chavez in Clear and Present Danger and Distephano in Alien: Resurrection. He also appeared as Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Julio Sanchez in The Closer.

Silverio Palacios as Chato: Captain Wade’s assistant. Silverio Palacios portrayed Jesús “Chuy” Carranza in Y Tu Mamá También and Head Jailer in The Legend of Zorro.
