It’s outstanding that Bob’s Burgers has been on television now for a whole decade. This effectively shows just how strongly this series is put together. A massive reason behind the success of it is that it does a fantastic job when it comes to the connection between the Belcher family members. Although they certainly have their bouts of conflict, they always seem to prevail and continuously become closer.

Many other characters also seem to be quite close with them too. Yet, even with this being the case, it is hard to find one that they consider a part of the family. There have been a lot of moments between the Belchers and many side characters, so this should explore this a bit more. This series is one that thrives on family connection, so it would actually benefit from doing this with the outside characters a bit more. Also, given the fact that there have been so many characters introduced through its run, there are a plethora of deserving candidates for showrunners to choose from.

10 Teddy

Teddy is basically a part of the Belcher family, even if he isn’t accepted completely. Teddy is also Bob’s most loyal customer, while also being quite involved in their personal business. In fact, he sometimes goes a bit too far in this area.

Nonetheless, Teddy loves this family immensely, so he certainly warrants a spot in it. He is always willing to help them in their time of need as well, even if it not always wanted. Overall, he is just a magnificent character.

9 Mort

Although Mort’s prominence in the series these days is not as strong as it once was, he is still a character who deserves to be a part of the family. In earlier seasons, he always spent time with the Belchers and ate at the restaurant.

He is a character who definitely would make sense to be a part of the family because of this. He also is good friends with Teddy, who of course is always around the family as well. Overall, this is easily justifiable.

8 Gayle

Although Gayle is Linda’s sister, it seems as though that she is still outside of the family. This is due to the fact that she and Bob have opposing personalities. Thus, it often is seen that her presence is not appreciated when she is around.

Yet, even with her shortcomings, she is still quite active with the kids and a fun part of the series. It would be nice if their relationship could become stronger, as the potential surely is there.

7 Mickey

Mickey’s beginning with the Belcher family definitely was not ideal, as he was a robber. Yet, the Belchers were very important for him, as he ended up getting his life on track and has since left his life of crime.

Mickey now seems to have a strong relationship with the family. It would be awesome for the series to explore this more in future episodes, as it is apparent that they mean a lot to him. Also, he is a wonderful character who deserves a more prominent role.

6 Nat

Nat is a newer character in the series. Although she only been in a few episodes, she clearly has gotten close with the Belchers. Heck, they even took a road trip together and she is friendly with the Belcher kids.

Nat is a great example of a show introducing a new character perfectly. It would be awesome to see her role expand significantly, as she clearly has been able to build a strong bond with the family in such limited appearances.

5 Regular Sized Rudy

Regular Sized Rudy is one of the most underrated characters in the series. He is stupendous but is not utilized nearly enough. In fact, one could argue that he is a fantastic fit as a long-term friend for the Belcher kids.

His character is also very unique, so having him in more storylines would be quite beneficial for the series. He also has gotten closer with Louise and Gene as the series has gone on, which definitely helps his case.

4 Gretchen

Gretchen is a very funny character. Although she certainly has her flaws, one has to appreciate her friendship with Linda. This alone definitely is a big reason why she should possess a closer relationship with the rest of the family.

When it comes to the adults, it seems that the series focuses more on Bob’s friendships, rather than Linda’s. Thus, it would be quite intriguing to see Gretchen become more active with the Belchers.

3 Zeke

Zeke once was a bully, but it has become clear that he is far nicer than originally thought. Although he is still best friends with Jimmy Jr., he is now very close with the Belcher kids too. The turnaround of his character has been marvelous to witness.

Due to the fact that he is always around the Belchers, it would make a lot of sense to have him become closer with the rest of the family. He definitely would have qualities that would bother Bob, but it certainly would be funny to watch.

2 Mr. Fischoeder

Mr. Fischoeder has been a big part of the series. Although he and Bob have differing views of the world, he has been good to the Belchers for the most part. Given the fact that he is their landlord, there is a ton of opportunity to see their story get stronger.

He is responsible for them even having a business and home, so one has to appreciate his importance to the series. Although he certainly is driven by greed, he has qualities that would make him a good friend of the family.

1 Jimmy Jr.

Jimmy Jr. and Tina have a very intriguing relationship with each other. Although their fathers have a heated rivalry, the pair have been able to become closer as the series has gone by. In fact, this can be said with the rest of the kids too.

Out of all the students in the series, it is apparent that Jimmy Jr. possesses the most significance out of them. He’s been around the most and has become a very funny character too. This certainly helps his case for him becoming a part of the Belcher family, even if his father would be agitated by it.
