Fox’s animated comedy Bob’s Burgers gets renewed for season 12 and season 13. Created by Loren Bouchard, Bob’s Burgers follows the Belcher family, Patriarch Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts), Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Louise (Kristen Schaal). Owners of the titular hamburger restaurant, the Belcher family navigate life in a small coastal town and occasionally perform a musical number. Now, it looks like the Belcher family will continue to dole out burgers for the foreseeable future.

Today, Fox announced that Bob’s Burgers has been renewed for season 12 and season 13. The news of renewals for Bob’s Burgers arrives just ahead of the premiere of season 11, which will show how the Belcher family handles a global pandemic. Featured as part of Fox’s animation block, which includes The Simpsons and Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers is expected to run through 2023.

Of course, a guarantee of two more seasons of the Belchers is good news for Bob’s Burgers fans. Michael Thorn, Fox’s president of entertainment, states that Bob’s Burgers remains a tentpole for the network and that the renewal affirms Fox’s “commitment to animation”. Furthermore, earlier this year, Bob’s Burgers creators revealed the long-awaited Bob’s Burgers movie is still in the works. At this time, Bob’s Burgers: The Movie is eyeing a release date of April 9, 2021.

Premiering September 27, season 11 will include the 200th episode of the series, called “Bob Belcher and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Kids.” Additionally, season 11 will feature a special Halloween episode in which the kids finally get a glimpse inside the hotel at the end of the street. Indeed, Fox has assured that Bob’s Burgers will continue to provide lots of fresh misadventures, relevant topics, and deadpan delivery for viewers to soak up.
