Bugsnax is a game that everyone should play through. Seeing as though it was originally free on the PS5 for PS Plus members, many people may have written it off as a subpar game. However, this is untrue, as this video game has a unique story and is extremely entertaining in the process. Also, it also does a great job when it comes to its characters’ dialogue, which perfectly portrays their personalities and mannerisms.

And a big reason behind the quality of this game is the characters that the player meets throughout it. In a way, it provides a true sense of realism to this wacky game, as it is easy to resonate with them. Not all of them are perfect, but they each provide a strong sense of entertainment because of the way they act.

10 Floofty Fizzelbean

Floofty Fizzlebean is a character who is not very nice to their fellow Grumpuses. Although Floofty certainly is very intelligent, it is clear that they view that everyone else as being unintelligent.

This is what makes Floofty hard to like in the series. Although they have some funny moments, their condescending personality drops their likability significantly. Still, they are an important part of the game because of their experiments.

9 Cromdo Face

Cromdo Face is a very negative character in the game and can be quite mean to those around him. Although this does make him humourous, at times, it is apparent that he does have a lot of dark aspects to his character.

For example, he is known to steal from the people around him, which makes him disliked in the community. His immense greed also makes him prone to swindling, so overall, he is just a stereotypical conman.

8 Beffica Winklesnoot

Beffica Winklesnoot is very immature, and this made apparent by her constant need to dig dirt up on her fellow grumpuses. Although she is nice to the player’s character, she becomes quite annoying with her constant quest to expose everyone’s mistakes and shortcomings.

Overall, though, she doesn’t seem to have actual evil intentions, and she does aim to help others. She is not all bad, but definitely has many negative traits that hurt her likability.

7 Wambus Troubleham

The way the game introduces Wambus Troubleham is definitely funny. This is due to the fact that he is having trouble with handling his farm, as some very aggressive Bungers are on the loose and causing havoc.

As a character, he seems to be heavily focused on his work and can be a bit short with others. However, nothing about him is inherently bad or toxic, so it is hard to find many negatives when it comes to him.

6 Eggabell Batternugget

Eggabell Batternugget is Elizabert’s partner, both romantically and in her expedition. She plays a huge role in the game and is often assisting others, while being very caring to her fellow Grumpuses.

She is also a character who struggles a lot in the game, as she becomes quite down about all that transpires. She is quite admirable for what she does to save the others at the completion of the game.

5 Gramble Gigglefunny

Gramble Gigglefunny is perhaps the sweetest character in the game, as he does not want to eat the Bugsnax, but rather take care of them. This makes him different from the rest of the group, and it is a nice change.

He is very kind to everyone around him too, which is certainly admirable. Perhaps his need for companionship is his biggest flaw, but that’s not really a flaw. Overall, it is hard not to love this character.

4 Elizabert Megafig

Elizabert Megafig is truly the heart of the series, as she is the reason why all of these Grumpuses are living on Bugsnax. She is courageous and brave, while also having a true passion for exploring what is around her.

One also cannot ignore the fact that she sacrifices herself to save everyone. Overall, she makes up for accidentally putting them all in danger. If a sequel happens, one has to hope that she will make a triumphant return.

3 Snorpy Fizzelbean

Unlike his brother, Snorpy Fizzelbean is one of the most likable characters in the game. He is also quite smart, but he does not let this impact the way he treats others. His relationship with Chandlo helps him come out of his shell as the game progresses.

Snorpy also engages in conspiracy theories, which he ends up being correct about in regards to Bugsnax. His hilarious choice of rhetoric and personality also allows him to stand out compared to the rest.

2 Chandlo Funkbun

Upon first glance, one may assume that Chandlo Funkbun is the stereotypical, mean jock type. However, although he does participate in weight-training and lifting Snorpy’s crib, there is a ton of substance to his character.

For example, he is deeply in love with Snorpy and is a marvelous romantic partner and friend to him. He also has an immensely kind heart and his dialogue in the game is simply the best.

1 Filbo Fiddlepie

Filbo Fiddlepie just edges out Chandlo as the best character in the game. Filbo is the mayor of Snaxburg but is aware of the fact that he is atrocious at his job. However, he works extremely hard to try to make sure that everyone is okay under his leadership.

He is a social butterfly, while also possessing an immense amount of optimism. This is what truly allows players to love this character. He also is the Grumpus who shows the player around. Overall, he does everything in his power to better the people around him, so one has to find that truly admirable.
