A Prestige system may be coming to Call of Duty: Mobile along with possibly adding additional levels to the game’s progression. The mobile version of Call of Duty is currently in the middle of its Fight for Humanity event, which tasks players with choosing a faction to join and capturing territories for their chosen side by doing specific in-game tasks. Capturing territories and earning points unlocks rewards for that faction, with each side offering its own unique set of rewards, which include weapons and cosmetics.

The Fight for Humanity event is part of the game’s first season for 2021, which was launched just a few weeks ago. Dubbed New Order, the new season introduced a new battle pass, new weapons, new game modes, and an original new map. It was also recently leaked that fan-favorite map Shoot House from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may be making its way to COD: Mobile and is currently being beta tested in the game’s Chinese server. So far, the map will feature the Domination game mode and will keep most of its original design.

Developer TiMi Studios posted its February 12th Community Update on the game’s official subreddit where it responded to feedback from players asking for an increase in the game’s level cap or the addition of a Prestige system. According to the developer, the number of players asking for a level cap bump has increased as more users have reached the current cap of 150. While it has considered several options for adding more progression to Call Of Duty: Mobile, the studio has no plans to add more systems or options in the near future.

The Prestige system was initially introduced in the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and has been featured in most mainline releases of the series since then. In its original incarnation, the Prestige system resets the player’s level back to one and resets all of their unlocked weapons and challenges. The player will then have to progress and unlock content once again but with the added reward of a sticker marking their Prestige level. The latest iteration of the system, which is featured in Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, changes how Prestige works significantly.

While it’s easy to expect that a Prestige system would be added to Call Of Duty: Mobile, the game works pretty different than the other titles in the franchise, so it’s understandable that the developers want to handle progression in a way that fits the game. Luckily, TiMi Studios have been diligent in providing players with gameplay and cosmetic updates in the past. At the least, the studio has acknowledged that players are looking for something to do once they reach the level cap so hopefully, it’s an issue that will be dealt with sooner rather than later.
