The weapons players use are vitally important decisions of Call of Duty: Vanguard, and the attachments that go on them are as well. Making sure that they are properly kitted is the best way for CoD: Vanguard players to get the upper hand on their enemies. Players can find the tools that they enjoy most early, and level them up aggressively in order to gain experience using them, and weapon levels to kit them out better with weapon attachments in the Gunsmith menu.

The gunsmith menu is the section of the Loadout menu wherein players are able to add and remove attachments for their weapons. Weapon attachments are unlocked as players progress in Call of Duty: Vanguard weapon level on that specific gun, and so playing with a gun more often will unlock more attachments. It is a pretty straightforward system that encourages players to put more time in with each firearm in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

As players level up in Call of Duty: Vanguard, they’ll have a variety of sights, muzzle attachments, magazine mods, and grips to use on their favorite weapon. Obviously, most players will have their go-to attachments that don’t change too often. Although, sometimes players need a switch so they can fight at a different range, or they want to add an attachment they just unlocked during the match. To do so, players can start by hitting their Menu/Options/Escape button to open the menu.

How to Change Weapon Attachments In Call of Duty: Vanguard

Once players get to the in-game menu in Vanguard, they can navigate to the Loadouts tab. From there, players will see all of their custom loadouts. To change the attachments on a weapon, they can click the loadout that includes the target gun, and enter its loadout menu. Additionally, players can change entire loadouts from this screen, though this is better done out-of-game since it takes time. Then, they can hover over the main weapon, and they will see the Gunsmith tab next to it. Once they click this tab, they will be able to see all attachments that are equipped on the weapon.

By clicking any of the slots on this screen, Vanguard players can choose which attachment they want in that slot. Slots with newly-unlocked attachments will have a green dot, making it faster and easier to swap in new attachments on the fly. Once players click/select the attachment they want, it will be equipped, and they can close their pause menu. Now, those attachments will be on the weapon, and players will notice the change the next time they spawn into the match.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC.
