Universal Pictures announces the release date and special features for the 4K Ultra-HD, Blu-ray and DVD releases of Nia DaCosta’s Candyman. The latest installment in the iconic horror franchise hails from director Nia DaCosta, who co-wrote the script with producers Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld. The film serves as a direct sequel to the original 1992 film as Anthony McCoy returns to the Cabrini-Green area, now a gentrified neighborhood in comparison to the housing project of the original film, as he begins exploring the legend of the Candyman in the hopes of revitalizing his art, instead putting him down a path of madness and dark secrets.
