Doctor Strange merges with Carnage in brand new cover art that reveals Marvel’s Symbiote Supreme. As part of their Carnage Forever one-shot, Marvel Comics will be releasing a series of variant covers that show the Venom offspring combined with several heroes and villains. In a terrifying piece of art from Francesco Manna, Doctor Strange gets a symbiote twist that imagines the most powerful magic user in the Marvel Universe hosting the deadly Carnage symbiote.

Few villains are more terrifying than Carnage, one of the deadliest symbiotes in the Marvel Universe. Originally created as an offspring from the Venom symbiote, the Carnage symbiote bonded initially with serial killer Cletus Kasady, transforming the criminal into an ever scarier murderer. Unlike Venom, Carnage is purely a villain who kills for enjoyment. The Carnage symbiote is paired chiefly with Kasady but has also bonded with the Silver Surfer, Norman Osborn, and even a great white shark. Carnage has corrupted a few heroes but is usually paired with a host who is as vile and sinister as him.

The cover by Francesco Manna imagines one of the worst case scenarios for Marvel heroes, as Doctor Strange becoming the Symbiote Supreme would without question be one of the most unstoppable villains they ever faced. It would be Carnage, but with the powers of Doctor Strange. That’s frightening. The Carnage Forever variant cover will appear on the front of Strange #1, which arrives in comic book stores on March 3rd, 2022.
