Charli D’Amelio First To 100 Million TikTok Followers: Who Will Be Next?

Charli D’Amelio has become the first TikTok creator to reach 100 million followers. The social media app where users can make short videos is one of the biggest platforms out there right now and while D’Amelio is clearly the creator with the largest following, there are many other popular TikTok accounts that could hit the same 100 million milestone soon enough.

TikTok allows users to create short videos featuring popular music and other audio, along with the option of adding original audio of their own. Creators can also “duet” with others to create a video where they appear side-by-side on the screen. With the service continually finding new ways for creators to make videos, it has seen rapid growth over the last couple of years. As has D’Amelio. After only joining TikTok in May of 2019, it has taken around eighteen months for the young creator to amass 100 million followers. D’Amelio videos mostly revolve around dancing, although the creator recently received some backlash over a Dinner With The D’Amelios YouTube video series. D’Amelio’s older sister, Dixie, is also on TikTok and currently has 44.7 million followers.

Confirmed and congratulated by TikTok, D’Amelio hit the milestone on November 22, and now sits at 100.8 million followers. In total, the creator’s videos have received 7.9 billion likes, according to D’Amelio’s @charlidamelio handle. A recent video, posted on November 23 has already amassed millions of views. While another recent video, a duet with herself from an older video where the then and now D’Amelios are dancing to Opaul by Freddie Dredd, has received tens of millions of views already. In addition to millions of likes and hundreds of thousands of comments.

TikTokers Who Could Be Next To Reach 100M

While D’Amelio has recently reached this unique achievement, there are plenty of other popular creators who might reach 100 million followers themselves. For example, Addison Rae currently has 69.8 million followers and was recently cast in the remake of She’s All That. The remake will actually be called He’s All That, with Rae starring in a gender-swapped role. Following Rae is Zach King with 52.9 million followers on TikTok.

Another popular TikTokker is Loren Gray. With 49.6 million followers, Gray utilizes TikTok to promote her own music, including the single Cake which came out this year. Rounding out the top 5 most popular TikTok accounts is Spencer Polanco Knight with 49 million followers. While Charli D’Amelio should certainly be proud of being the first to reach 100 million followers, at the rate TikTok has grown, these other TikTokers could be reaching the same milestone soon enough.
