Monica Aldama has appeared as the coach at Navarro College on Cheer and has just released a new book called Full Out. Monica said that she was getting a lot of messages from fans asking her for advice on a variety of topics, from cheerleading to relationships to parenting. With the extra free time she had during the COVID-19 pandemic, Monica was able to sit down and write her memoir.

Monica and the Navarro College Cheer Team have won 14 National Championships in Daytona since 2000. While filming Cheer season 2, however, Navarro was dealing with their newfound fame, living in the spotlight, and still trying to hold onto their spot as champions. Many fans thought they would be unbeatable in Cheer season 2, but the underdogs at Trinity Valley Community College edged out a win on the second day of the Championship. Despite losing the 2021 Championship, Navarro is still the team to beat at any cheerleading competition largely in part due to Monica’s coaching.

The complete title of Monica’s book is Full Out: Lessons In Life And Leadership From America’s Favorite Coach. Monica dedicated this book “to everyone who stays after practice to clean up.” She wrote this book during the filming of Cheer season 2, so it will include some of the larger issues the show dealt with during that unprecedented time. The season 2 storylines included her strained relationship with student La’Darius Marshall. She will likely also go into detail about what she looks for when deciding which athletes make mat each year and how she has built up a team of champions since she started coaching in 1995.

For fans of Cheer, Monica said the newly-released book will include a lot of behind-the-scenes moments from the show that fans did not get to see in the docuseries. For instance, she will likely address the impact of Jerry Harris’ arrest on her and the rest of Navarro. Monica will also touch on her controversial appearance on Dancing With The Stars. Many fans and her students at Navarro felt that she should not have left in the middle of the season to compete on the show, especially since her assistant coach Andy Cosferent also left the team.

Monica’s new book Full Out was just released on January 4, 2022. The book is already on its way to being a best-seller for new releases. The book, which is about 250 pages long, will also discuss a lot of her personal life and hardships she faced outside of work. Monica was divorced and remarried to the same man and they share two kids together – all of whom she talks about in Full Out. This new memoir also serves as an advice book, where Coach Monica from Cheer shares her top leadership strategies.
