Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Chris Pratt sports a Wolverine-style beard and hairstyle in a new quarantine selfie. The Guardians of the Galaxy star has made his mark, of course, as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord in the MCU. He also reprises his role in the back half of the Avengers mega-franchise, endearing himself to comic book fans around the globe. But just because Pratt plays a superhero on the big screen doesn’t mean he can’t avoid going stir-crazy as he’s stuck inside due to nationwide restrictions amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Like many others in the entertainment world and beyond, Pratt has had to find creative new ways to entertain and engage his audience. He’s decently active on his Instagram page and story, but rarely crosses over into another superhero franchise. Well, fans of Wolverine and X-Men may get some amusement out of one of his newest posts.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Pratt revealed the beard he’s been growing in quarantine via his Instagram story on Monday. You can view it below if you missed it. Pratt makes no mystery about who he’s trying to imitate, slapping the #QuarantineWolverine hashtag on his selfie. He spiked his hair up like you’d expect from Hugh Jackman, too. Jackman screenshotted Pratt’s story and reposted with an animated GIF reading “cute!” The beard and that Wolverine scowl take center stage here. See both posts below.

Though Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has suffered from delays due in part to Disney’s firing and subsequent rehiring of director James Gunn, Pratt has remained firmly in the spotlight. He’s detailed the script for Guardians 3. His new Disney/Pixar movie Onward with Avengers: Endgame co-star Tom Holland is now streaming on Disney+. (In fact, the two have quite the bromance going.) He’s on track to reprise his role as Owen in Jurassic World: Dominion next June and has compared the movie to Endgame, but his sci-fi starring vehicle The Tomorrow War is now without a release date after originally being expected to drop on Christmas.

It’s unclear what the future holds for the X-Men franchise now that it’s under the Disney umbrella and after Dark Phoenix bombed at the box office worse than anyone even expected. But it would be surprising if some kind of reboot didn’t eventually happen once Hollywood (and the world) can return to normalcy. We’re a long way away from the next Guardians of the Galaxy, anyway. Maybe we’ll see a Wolverine and Star-Lord crossover some day.
