Former Chrisley Knows Best star Lindsie Chrisley announced her divorce from her husband Will Campbell after nine years of marriage and numerous separations in the past. Lindsie stopped appearing on the show in 2017, claiming she never wanted to do the show and only participated for her father’s sake. Prior to leaving the show, resentment was building between Lindsie and her family when she began dating her soon-to-be ex-husband Will. After the two eloped in 2012, things got even worse, but her decision to leave the show came after an off-camera altercation occurred between her and her stepmom, Julie Chrisley. Lindsie is Todd Chrisley’s daughter from his first marriage. After this altercation, Lindsie felt the environment was too toxic, and she could no longer participate in filming or be around her family.

Things got even worse between them in 2019 when Todd and Julie were under investigation for tax evasion, and Lindsie assisted the prosecution. Lindsie claimed at the time that she had nothing to do with the charges against her father and stepmom, and pointed the finger at the ways they allegedly wronged her. According to Lindsie, her father and brother Chase threatened to release a sex tape of hers if she did not help them lie to the feds and deter their investigation. Todd and Chase denied these allegations, and in response accused Lindsie of engaging in extramarital affairs with two stars of The Bachelorette. This lead to a rough patch in Lindsie’s relationship with Will.

Lindsie just announced her decision to officially split from her husband, after nine years of marriage and one child together. Lindsie shared the news of her split with her fans on Instagram, writing that the decision to separate was mutual. In the post, Lindsie says she still feels love for Will and will always be appreciative of the time they spent together as a couple. She says they are both committed to staying friends in order to effectively co-parent their son, Jackson. She is excited to move on and get a fresh start and is focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel. Lindsie ended her post by asking fans to respect her privacy as she tries to navigate her way through this. The news of their split comes after two brief separations in 2014 and 2016.

After announcing the news on Instagram, Lindsie received a ton of support from her fans in the comments section. One commenter reminded Lindsie of her strength and assured her she will make it through this tough time. Another fan commented that they are sending Lindsie all their love and support during this time. A third fan shared with Lindsie that they are going through a separation themselves and reminded her that everything in life happens for a reason. Fans were speculating about the couple’s status after Lindsie posted a cryptic Instagram post on Valentine’s Day. She wrote that everyone’s love story looks different, and that she is committed to going wherever love takes her.

Now that Will is no longer in the picture, there could be potential of repairing the relationship between Lindsie and the rest of the Chrisleys. When Todd was dealing with bullies online after going public with his COVID-19 diagnosis, Lindsie surprisingly came to his defense. While this was a positive sign, Lindsie also stated that the relationship has not gotten any better since that time. This, however, was all back in April 2020, so there is a possibility that things have gotten better between her family and the Chrisley Knows Best cast.
