Clarice features a brand new cast and brings back many of the characters from The Silence of the Lambs. Executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet, Clarice continues the story of FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling, who was portrayed by Jodie Foster in the 1991 blockbuster directed by Jonathan Demme.

Set in 1993, one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, Clarice sees Agent Starling coping with fame after she received national recognition for bringing down serial killer Buffalo Bill in the film. However, the encounter with Bill left Clarice severely traumatized, yet she is thrust back into action as part of the FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP), where she is tasked to apply her knowledge of Behavioral Sciences to hunt more serial killers. Clarice also has to deal with people she works with doubting her abilities and her qualifications.
