Gabi DeMartino, a 25-year-old lifestyle and beauty YouTuber, was suspended from OnlyFans on Tuesday after charging $3 to view a video of her allegedly flashing the camera as a toddler. The video was teased to subscribers with the caption “won’t put my panties on,” with followers having to pay to unlock the blurry image. People who paid to view the video described it as DeMartino aged 3-6 lifting her skirt up and flashing the camera.
Many people were disturbed by the misleading content. The video has prompted an onslaught of serious concerns, with people questioning if they were unwittingly set up to view, possess, or distribute child pornography. In the United States, this is a Class D felony, making the situation both legally and ethically concerning.
Adult Performers Actors Guild president Alana Evans told The Daily Beast that she reported DeMartino to the FBI. Evans called the video “unacceptable” and stated that DeMartino needed to be prosecuted by the authorities. She informed the publication that such behavior unfairly puts blame on people in the adult industry. However, DeMartino has not been charged with any crimes.

In response to the backlash, DeMartino has made attempts to downplay the alarm. The YouTube star tweeted on December 1, writing, “the video was a goofy throwback family moment that I wanted to share with my personal onlyfans fancy babies. I am sorry that this wasn’t thought out completely I apologize. The video is down now I am sorry again if this came out wrong.”
Though she may not be facing legal repercussions, DeMartino has already been faced with social ones. Her video has drawn overwhelming criticism and outrage online. The vlogger, who has over 3 million YouTube subscribers, is no stranger to scandal and the effects of cancel culture. She has garnered criticism in the past for her Ariana Grande impersonations, as well as a controversial “BFF Income Challenge” TikTok in September. She joins the list of many other content creators who have started OnlyFans accounts, though hers is currently suspended by the platform.
Whether or not she is faced with criminal charges, DeMartino is unlikely to walk away from the scandal unscathed. However, that doesn’t mean she will necessarily be canceled. YouTuber Logan Paul received overwhelming backlash after posting a video featuring a dead body, but he has managed to keep his career afloat. The full extent of the repercussions for Gabi DeMartino, therefore, remains to be seen.
