A new clip of a contentious married couple from Couples Therapy season 2 demonstrates just how hard Dr. Orna Guralnik’s job really is. Some couples are more open to therapy than others, and sometimes it can be hard for Dr. Orna to even get a word in. She’s revealed that season 2 offers a deeper dive into the dynamics of each relationship on the show. Viewers can look forward to a raw and unfiltered depiction of relationships on the verge of collapse and couples fighting to turn things around with the help of Dr. Orna.

When she started filming season 1, Dr. Orna had her reservations about putting real therapy sessions on TV, but after viewing the final product, she’s excited for fans to see season 2. Where season 1 followed four couples, season 2 will follow just three—providing an even closer look at the relationships. One of the season’s standout couples is Michal and Michael whose marriage is practically in shambles. They might be one of Dr. Orna’s biggest challenges in season 2. But as seen in the clip, the experienced therapist is up to the challenge.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The new clip shows a therapy session with Michal and her husband Michael, and it definitely looks like they’re headed toward divorce. Michal says she “blames him” for not giving her the life she wants and claims Michael doesn’t do enough. Michael disagrees and in his opinion, both partners should be putting in equal effort to build the life they want. But Michal has a different point of view and shoots back “that is what a lazy person would say.” She doesn’t want her marriage to look like a “socialist cooperative,” though Michael says “in the case of a marriage I feel like socialism isn’t the worst model.

Dr. Orna certainly has her hands full with this couple, and in the clip she has a hard time even getting a word in. It’s difficult to imagine Michal and Michael staying together, but if anyone can help, it’s Dr. Orna. She’s an expert dealing with seemingly hopeless couples and helping them change their relationship dynamic to something more healthy. Michal and Michael are just one of season 2’s three compelling couples, and the clip is just the tip of the iceberg.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Couples Therapy season 2—and part of that is seeing more of Michal and Michael. It’s fascinating to get such a close look at the intimate moments the couples share in therapy, and season 2 goes even deeper into the struggles the couples face and how they address and change those problems. The other two couples are just as interesting as Michal and Michael, which is what makes season 2 such riveting television.
