Cruella: Which Character Are You, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Disney’s Cruella is the latest story in a trend of retelling Disney classics from the villain’s point of view. The film reveals that Cruella is actually the alter-ego of Estella, a young woman aspiring to be a fashion designer. However, when she discovers her boss killed her mother, the evil alter-ego begins to make frequent appearances. In the end, Estella decides to live permanently as Cruella De Vil.

The film has an entire cast of strong personalities, some old and some new. For example, Cruella’s henchman from the original 101 Dalmations are given more dimension while the entirely new character of the Baroness is introduced. Using the zodiac, fans of the film can figure out which character they are most like.

Aries: Cruella de Vil

Aries are known to be dynamic and impulsive. They often carry the stereotype of running headfirst into things without thinking, but this is only because they are catalysts for change. Their courage makes them very fun to be around.

Cruella is definitely an Aries as she is very passionate about bringing down the Baroness and will stop at nothing to do so. While her stunts are well-planned and thought through, her actions appear very impulsive. She doesn’t think about the consequences of attacking the Baroness, only how it will bring her joy. It’s this way of thinking that cements Cruella as one of the more powerful Disney villains.

Taurus: Gerald

Tauruses are pragmatic and resolute. They tend to have a love of luxury that is very specific to their sign and they can be very stubborn, but oftentimes this is simply their neverending endurance. They don’t tend to love change, instead, they like to stick to their own plans.

Gerald is the manager of Libert of London, a department store owned by the Baroness, and a Taurus. His management style is very strict and he likes to keep it that way. When Estella frequently asks to help with clothing design Gerlad stubbornly denies the request each time. He takes great pride in his store and he doesn’t trust Estella to work to his standard.

Gemini: Horace Badun

Geminis are often very friendly and fun-loving. They are animated and constantly have something to talk about. They are very adaptable, changing to fit in with their environment and they like to keep up with the latest trends and can often be found researching new topics.

Horace is one of Estella’s closest friends and along with Jasper, the three of them run many schemes together to make or steal money. Horace is the goof of the three. He is friendly and animated just like a Gemini, but he does his best to keep up with current events only so he can keep an eye out for new jobs. His fun-loving, amiable personality definitely makes him a Gemini.

Cancer: Jeffery

Cancers are often known to be self-protective and security-seeking. They want to find a community that keeps them safe and guarded, and they tend to have a habit of bending over backward to satisfy those around them. This can give them the reputation of being a pushover, but it’s only because they want those around them to be happy.

Although the audience doesn’t see a lot of the Baroness’ assistant Jeffery, it is obvious he is a Cancer. As the Baroness’ assistant, he must constantly strive to keep her happy. He is often asked to do things he wouldn’t normally want to do, but he does want to keep the Baroness happy so he is willing.

Leo: Artie

Leos tend to command the spotlight and inspire those around them. They are fun and light-hearted, but also fiercely independent. They can be very mesmerizing as well.

Artie, a new character introduced to the world of the dalmatians, is a fashion enthusiast. He bonds with Estella over an old Baroness dress he has in his store, and then later agrees to help Cruella with her shows. Artie has a very commanding presence that often steals attention. As a Leo, Artie also gives the audience some of the most epic Cruella quotes.

Virgo: Anita Darling

Virgos are very service-oriented. They love helping those around them. Their vast knowledge and love of language tends to come in handy for this. As an Earth sign, they are full of wisdom and also ready to help.

Anita Darling is a Virgo as she works for the Tattletale newspaper as a journalist. She must have some sort of love for knowledge and language to work in that field. She is also very quick to lend a helping hand to Cruella. Although she often thinks Cruella’s plans are wild, she also believes the Baroness is not a good person and so Anita is willing to help wherever she can.

Libra: Roger Dearly

Libras are often drawn to the arts, such as dancing, painting, and playing instruments. They like to use their artistic pursuits to connect with others, which is how they best communicate. Libras are also justice-seekers, righting anything they believe to be wrong.

Roger is most definitely the Libra of Cruella. When audiences first meet him he is the lawyer for the Baroness. This is how Roger is trying to right the wrongs he sees in the world. However, the Baroness uses her money to manipulate justice as she sees fit. This angers Roger and so he quits to pursue his real love: the piano, which is how Roger is able to truly express himself.

Scorpio: John Badun

Scorpios are often described as private, secretive, and intense. This is especially true when it comes to things or people that they hold dear. The can be very commanding, pulling everyone’s attention by simply entering a room.

John, the Baroness’ valet and confidante, is a Scorpio. As the audience eventually learns, John has been holding the secret of Estella’s birth her entire life. He knew the Baroness was her mother, and he knew of Estella’s whereabouts, but he never told anyone. John’s impressive secret-keeping is what categorizes him a Scorpio.

Sagittarius: Jasper

Sagittariuses are yet another fun-loving sign. They are determined to make the best of their lives. They tend to have a YOLO point of view as they live their best lives. They are constantly searching the world for their best chance at freedom

Jasper is a Sagittarius since the gig he has going with Horace and Estella definitely gives them all that kind of lifestyle. Jasper constantly commits many crimes with them so they can make money. This way of living also gives Jasper his freedom. He doesn’t want to be tied down by a specific job so he works many of his own to get by. Hopefully, the sequel will give fans more Jasper moments.

Capricorn: Baroness van Hellman

Capricorns often have the stereotype of being relentless social climbers that are willing to do anything to get to the top. This stereotype comes from their drive and passion. They have very high standards for those around them, but especially for themselves.

Being the villain of the film, the Baroness tends to exhibit the more negative traits of a Capricorn. She wants nothing more than to be at the top to the point where she gets rid of her only child so that nothing will be able to stop her from working. She uses the others around her to do the work for her but she takes all the credit. The Baroness simply wants to be the best of the best.

Aquarius: Catherine Miller

Aquariuses tend to be free-spirited and independent. They are often described as humanitarian, meaning they like to help others and they are also known to reject the status quo and live life as they see fit.

Catherine is Estella’s adoptive mother and ex-employee of the Baroness. She takes Estella and leaves the Baroness’ employment even though life as a single mother is guaranteed to be difficult. However, it’s this determination to live life doing the right thing that makes Catherine the perfect Aquarius.

Pisces: Estella Miller

Pisces are often the artists of the Zodiac and they are known to be compassionate. Practicing their favorite art form often helps them to center themselves as Pisces are very in touch with their own reality and imagination.

Estella is a very different character to Cruella, and so she is a Pisces. Her art is her clothing designs. She wants nothing more than to be able to bring them to life. She is happiest when she is creating, not cleaning bathrooms in department stores. Estella uses her talent to create some of Cruella de Vil’s best costumes.
