In the wake of Cyberpunk 2077‘s Update 1.5 release, developer and publisher CD Projekt Red reduced the game’s across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox digital storefronts. Dubbed the next-gen update for Cyberpunk 2077, Patch 1.5 introduced a slew of changes upon its launch on February 15. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners were treated to brand-new graphics modes, which unlocked full 4K visuals, FPS boosts, ray tracing features, and added DualSense controller support on the newer PlayStation hardware.

The long-awaited next-gen update also debuted fresh game content, including extra missions and gigs for players to explore in Night City. Better still, CD Projekt Red tackled a few outstanding fan requests in the 1.5 patch by unleashing more apartments for V, adding a hairdressing mirror, and adjusting the in-game economy, loot system, and general gameplay. Such changes and improvements ensure Cyberpunk 2077 is now worth playing for lapsed users and newcomers alike. And a shrewd move on CD Projekt Red’s part makes the barrier of entry much easier to overcome.

As noted by Major Nelson, Cyberpunk 2077’s recent update ushered in a sale on Xbox platforms that reduces the game price by 50 percent. Thus, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S owners who do not yet own CDPR’s latest opus can purchase a digital copy for just $30 through February 21. A similar sale went live on PC via Steam and the PlayStation Store earlier this week. The sci-fi role-playing title currently bears a $30 price tag in a Steam promotion that ends on March 1. Meanwhile, the PS4 and PS5 versions cost $25 on PSN, thanks to a promotion that comes to a close next month on March 3.

A significant price reduction on the once beleaguered Cyberpunk 2077 seems a good way to bring new audiences into the fold, even if the sale only lasts for a limited period of time. And make no mistake, grabbing this particular title at half off the regular asking price is a steal in many respects, due in large part to the incredible amount of content baked into the experience.

The crew at CD Projekt Red has no plans of slowing down its output for Cyberpunk 2077, either. Not long after releasing Update 1.5, the team noted on a forums page that developers are currently investigating even more improvements, including the possibility of Trophy data transfers for PS4 and PS5. There’s still the matter of paid story expansions, too; as of writing, the studio has yet to unleash even cursory details about its plans in this regard.

Cyberpunk 2077 is playable on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
