While the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 mostly fixed issues across multiple features in the game, patch 1.52 also included a new armor piece called the Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest. Among the many complaints that Cyberpunk 2077 has received in the little more than two years since its release, by far the most abundant are bugs that unfortunately still plague the game. Patch 1.52 fixes quest glitches in Cyberpunk 2077 that some have argued should have been fixed long before this update, but while CD Projekt Red attends to these issues they’re also helping players prepare for an upcoming big expansion.

Without a doubt, the Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest is designed to be a high-tier piece of endgame armor, but it’s definitely not the first free content update that the game has received recently. Some of the largest free content updates for Cyberpunk 2077 came alongside the release of patch 1.5, the same patch that brought a real version of the game to the PS5 and the Xbox X|S.

Alongside plenty of quality of life improvements for both of those consoles and PC, five new weapons were added into the game that players could receive via in-game purchases, finding them on enemies, or by completing certain quests. For example, the new Byakko Katana in Cyberpunk 2077 is a patch 1.5 quest reward sword, while the Darra Polytechnic Umbra could be purchased from the 2nd Amendment Store. Much like these weapons, players will want to get their hands on the Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest long before the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion is released. While it doesn’t have an official date, CD Projekt Red did confirm that the expansion is still coming in a tweet on March 21, 2022.

Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest Location & Features

The Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest can be found on Philippo Bergamo’s body in an alley on Crescent road in Japantown, Westbrook. The chest piece is an outer torso type of armor that has a Legendary rarity, and it offers two mod slots for players to customize it with. Even those who haven’t completed the story in Cyberpunk 2077 or explored the world should be after this armor, particularly because one of the mod slots has a random pre-built in Legendary modification.

The pre-equipped Legendary mod for the Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest can provide players with any sort of boosts, such as a street cred multiplier or explosive damage reduction that have been earned by players already. The lightweight vest piece can provide upwards of 160 Armor as well, making it an excellent addition to V’s collection in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and PC.
