After a nearly ten month hiatus, Dancing With The Stars is all set to return for season 29. Premiering Monday, the show will now be hosted by Tyra Banks of America’s Next TopModel, who takes over for Tom Bergeron. The cast of stars competing this season range from Carole Baskin of Tiger King to Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean. One of the returning pro dancers is Pasha Pashkov, who joined the long running competition series last season.

In his first season, Pasha was paired with Kate Flannery from The Office, landing in seventh place before they were surprisingly eliminated. While they had a rough start, Kate improved greatly over time, and the pair’s scores increased steadily. The judges were even confused and upset that they were in the bottom two alongside Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber. Hopefully Pasha has better luck this year!

Pasha is actually married to another DWTS pro. This will also be his wife Daniella Karagach’s second season on the ABC program, though it will be her first competing with a partner. In season 28, she appeared in bumpers and group numbers. She also danced in former DWTS cast member Derek Hough’s tour Derek Hough Live! the summer before season 28 aired.

In an interview with dancesportinfo.net, Pasha revealed began dancing at a young age in his home country of Russia, though the disappointment of losing a competition briefly stopped him. His family moved to the United States when he was a teenager. Pasha and Daniella were first paired together as dance partners in 2009. They started dating soon after, and ended up getting married in 2014. The couple has found great success together, including their status as seven time United States 10-Dance Champions and Latin Champions. DWTS isn’t their first reality TV appearance either. In 2018, a year before joining the DWTS cast, they competed on the second season of NBC’s World of Dance.

Pasha and Daniella are one of the three married pro dancer couples to compete on this season. They join Val Chmerkovsky and Jenna Johnson as well as Emma Slater and Sasha Farber. Due to the pandemic, however, all three married couples are going to have to be separated while they are competing on the show. This is one of the precautions producers are taking to ensure everyone stays healthy and safe. While fans wait to see the latest contestants set to join the show, they can check out the sweet couple photos Pasha and Daniella often post on both of their Instagram pages.
