Partners from Dancing with the Stars typically become quite close after spending endless hours together rehearsing in the studio, and we’re about to discuss the pairs who stayed friendly after their seasons. Great friendships are typically formed on the show between professional dancers and the celebrities that they are partnered with. Many times, the friendships are so close that the dance couples will continue to be friends, sometimes years after their experiences in the ballroom are over.

Occasionally, some of these dancing friendships will even blossom into romances. Some relationships from Dancing with the Stars have been successful, while others have been anything but. There have even been a few situations where professional dancers and their partnered celebrities do not actually get along. Needless to say, things can get quite intense in the studio during rehearsals.

While it does occasionally happen, it is quite rare that a duo does not actually get along. In fact, production does their very best to meticulously assign each professional dancer to a celebrity best suited for them. This is why friendships oftentimes blossom on the show. Some of these longtime friends later teamed up for different work projects, were involved in each other’s weddings, or just continued supporting one another from afar.

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber

Simone Biles (who also competed on The Masked Dancer) competed on DWTS season 24. She and her pro partner Sasha Farber instantly clicked. After placing 4th in the competition, Sasha and Simone remained friends. In 2021, the two partnered up yet again to plan Simone’s Olympic floor routine.

AJ McLean and Cheryl Burke

Last season, AJ McLean and Cheryl Burke were teamed up together. The two instantly bonded over their battles with addiction as well as their journeys to sobriety. The two even started a podcast together, “Pretty Messed Up.”

After competing together in the ballroom, Adam Rippon was a part of Jenna Johnson’s wedding to fellow pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy in 2019. He was a “bridesman” alongside fellow pro dancer Lindsay Arnold, who was a bridesmaid at the wedding.
