Netflix released season 2 of Dating Around recently, and just like many fans, we love how authentic, diverse, and relatable this series is. This dating reality show was packed in six super enjoyable episodes that run for about 25-30 minutes each. If you’ve loved its warm-hearted vibe, then you must be wondering if the streaming platform is coming up with a new season or not. So, let’s find out together!

Unlike other dating reality shows that Netflix streams, this one doesn’t have any competition, rules, or manipulative confessionals. We like the fact that this series isn’t as dramatic as other dating shows like Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle. It stars a bunch of simple looking people who are searching for their true love. They would go on five blind dates (seemingly in a single night) and then finally chose their favorite to go on a second date. The first season got released on February 14, 2019. Although it didn’t receive as much praise as expected (or deserved), the series got renewed for another season.

The latest season was shot in October last year, and thankfully, it has received a lot of more attention than the first season. It has got positive reviews and successfully created a fanbase for itself. Though we don’t have an official statement from the platform, we’re almost certain that Dating Around would have a season 3 as the Netflix’s chief of unscripted programming, Brandon Riegg, also likes its contemporary concept. He already said to Vulture in an interview, “We love the fresh approach that the producers came up with when they first pitched us the concept.” 

The production of the series might not have started yet due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we think that season 3 will most probably be out in 2021. As far as its cast members are concerned, it changes with every new season. So, we will definitely see six new faces who would have distinct backgrounds. Just like the latest season had a mix of different personalities like nervous Ben, fierce Deva, and confident Demi, next season will also have a bunch of cool, honest, and relatable singletons.

We think the casting will be done once the location is finalized. New York was the backdrop for season one, and cast members were picked up from the same city – similar was the case with season two where all the daters were New Orleans based. Our best guess is that the upcoming season would be filmed in Savannah, Memphis, or Nashville because these are the most romantic cities in the states and feature some really awesome breathtaking views that would be helpful for cinematography. Isn’t it?
