Dave season 2 will have more celebrity guest appearances than its first season. The FXX comedy is loosely based on rapper and comedian Dave Burd, a.k.a., Lil Dicky, who plays a young, neurotic, up-and-coming rapper who is convinced that he is one of the greatest of all time and strives to become a legend while balancing his relationships. The series is created and executive produced by Burd and Jeff Schaffer and also stars Taylor Misiak, GaTa, Andrew Santino, Travis Bennett, and Christine Ko.

Dave is known for featuring many celebrity cameos, mostly rappers and music artists, such as Justin Bieber, Charlamagne tha God, Young Thug, and Macklemore. The first season also guest-starred many actors and sports and media personalities like Kourtney Kardashian, Rich Eisen, and Catherine Dent. Dave season 2 premiered on June 16 with two episodes featuring cameos from Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Benny Blanco, but the FXX comedy isn’t stopping there.

In a first look video for Dave season 2 released by FX Networks, the creators and stars of the show hype what can be expected from the new season. For his part, actor Andrew Santino promises there will be even more celebrity cameos than the first season. When asked what it is he can share about season 2, Santino responds: “We have way more cameos. I can tell you that.

The first season ended with Dave breaking up with his girlfriend Ally, played by Misiak, after being unable to balance his career and his romantic relationship. Dave is now focusing entirely on his rap album while also going on adventures and maintaining relationships with his friends and those who helped him with his career. Already, it’s known Dave season 2 will include appearances from Lil Nas X, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kevin Hart, but the tease of there being even more suggests there are some that have yet to be revealed.

Burd, unlike his character on the show, is already a successful rapper, releasing numerous hit singles and music videos and has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, and Brendon Urie. Dave has already proven to be a ratings hit to become the network’s highest-rated comedy. With that in mind, there’s no telling how many and how big the cameos still to come in Dave season 2 will be. Given his connections, Burd could conceivably entice whoever he wants to appear. Dave can be seen every Wednesday on FXX and it will be interesting to see where the season 2 will take the characters and what other famous faces they’ll meet.
