Odenkirk currently stars as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman on the legal crime series, a former con artist trying to turn his life around and prove his worth as an earnest lawyer. Odenkirk has continued to receive rave reviews for his performance as Jimmy McGill, gaining numerous award nominations for his lead performance and as a producer for the show. The series also stars Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Giancarlo Esposito, Michael Mando, Patrick Fabian, and Tony Dalton.

Cross has had a career spanning in comedy and is best known for his role as Tobias Fünke on the acclaimed comedy series Arrested Development, who is an accomplished psychiatrist before losing his license. Tobias spends the rest of the series trying to become an actor. Aside from that, the fact of Tobias having many quirky and awkward characteristics, including his inability to never be fully nude, even in front of his wife, and his suggestive innuendos that make people question his sexuality, has made Cross one of the breakout stars of the show.

Cross has now brought word through his Twitter account about Odenkirk’s medical condition after talking with him on the phone, stating that he is doing better while assuring that Odenkirk will address the public very soon. Odenkirk is currently in recovery from a small heart attack after collapsing on the set of Better Call Saul in the midst of filming the sixth and final season. After much trepidation, Odenkirk’s son informed that he would be okay. Cross’s post can be viewed below:

Odenkirk and Cross have been longtime friends and co-workers going back to when they were both writers on sketch comedy The Ben Stiller Show, which earned them an Emmy Award. They then went on to create another sketch series for HBO, titled Mr. Show with Bob and David, which ran for four seasons and saw them nominated for three Emmy’s. The show was later revived for Netflix for five additional episodes titled W/ Bob & David.

Since the news of Odenkirk’s collapse, he has received passionate support amongst fans and co-stars who have issued heartfelt wishes, including Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, and it is relieving to hear that Odenkirk is continuing to do better after what was a scary and sudden occurrence. Odenkirk has been on the rise with his latest starring role in the successful action thriller film, Nobody, and continued success on Better Call Saul. With Cross’s statement, many can be thankful that Odenkirk is steadily recuperating and can hope to hear from him shortly.
