Warning! Spoilers for Justice League #75 by DC Comics

The Death of the Justice League is coming soon and with the bloody event comes a new tease showcasing the ultimate fight between heroes and villains. In a new preview for Justice League #75, the greatest DC heroes from across the Multiverse assemble to take on the Great Darkness, who has control of some of the deadliest villains in the universe.

In current DC Comics continuity, Darkseid was just captured by the Great Darkness and Pariah after the villain battled the Gentry over a crack in the Multiverse. With Darkseid under control of the Great Darkness, the stage is being set for one of the deadliest fights in comic book history, as Justice League #75 will feature the Death of the Justice League. DC has already revealed some of the heroes who will reach their demise in the comic, but in a new tease for the deadly battle between good and evil, the ultimate fight for the DC Universe begins.

On his Twitter account, Justice League #75 writer Joshua Williamson shared three images from the issue from Rafa Sandoval, Jordi Tarragona, and Matt Herms. The first image features the Justice League and the Justice League Incarnate meeting to discuss the near-impossible challenge ahead. The image features the likes of Batman, Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Captain Carrot, and Aquaman. The following image is where things get scary for the Justice League, as several villains (under the Great Darkness’ control) prepare their attack. Darkseid, Doomsday, Eclipso, and the Gentry are some of the uber-powerful villains among seemingly hundreds prepared to fight the Justice League to the death.

In an incredible two-page spread, the Justice League and Justice League Incarnate collide with Darkseid and the group of villains. The image showcases Superman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman in the frontlines of the fight, as Darkseid, Doomsday, and Eclipso ready their attack. The art also features Batman throwing his Batarangs as Black Canary uses her canary cry to take on the large group of enemies. However, Batman (one of the heroes whose death has been teased) is about to be attacked by a foe he might not see.

While DC Comics has teased who will die in the upcoming Death of the Justice League, it’s still unclear the total number of casualties from the event. Nevertheless, the fight for the DC Universe will feature the greatest heroes and villains duking it out and putting their lives on the line in the process. It doesn’t get more epic than that. Justice League#75 comes to comic book stores on April 19, 2022.
