Yesterday, developer Behaviour Interactive released Patch 5.1.1 for Dead by Daylight, an update that addressed an issue causing Pyramid Head’s butt to look flat. Silent Hill monster Pyramid Head joined Dead by Daylight in June 2020, alongside survivor Cheryl Mason (Silent Hill 3’s Heather Mason), and Midwich Elementary School.

Though the classic horror franchise’s Dead by Daylight content excited many a fan, there did exist one bit of controversy that soured the experience for some. Said controversy arose with accusations that Behaviour Interactive nerfed Pyramid Head’s most important asset – his backside. It didn’t take the studio long to respond to such claims, positing his apron as the reason why Pyramid Head had a less than impressive derrière. Whatever the reason, fans need not worry themselves over it any longer. All is right with the iconic executioner from every angle, thanks to the latest Dead by Daylight patch.

As spotted by Twitter user and Aggro Crab Games’ Lulu, the patch notes for Bugfix Patch 5.1.1 on Dead by Daylight Forum reveal a noteworthy fix related to Pyramid Head’s character model. His flat rear should no longer be an issue, according to the following note: “Fixed an issue that caused The Executioner’s rear to be too flat.”

Behaviour Interactive’s move to fix Pyramid Head’s butt arguably counts among one of the more exciting pieces of news for Silent Hill of late. This especially holds true given the ongoing rumors about a supposed Silent Hill resurgence that have yet to bear fruit.

It is clear publisher and IP holder Konami still wants to show love for the seminal series in some fashion. For example, just last week the Official Konami Shop opened pre-orders for a new Silent Hill 2 hoodie. There does exist one noteworthy downside, however – the hoodie bears a $100 price point. Konami’s online storefront boasts a number of other Silent Hill-inspired pieces of merchandise; yet, they, too, are all pretty costly. Baseball caps costs $30 each, graphic tees run $40 a pop, and a couple of pillows boast an asking price of $40 apiece. Hopefully, fans will someday find themselves breaking the bank because of a new game release.

Dead by Daylight is out on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.
