Arkane Studios recently released Deathloop: a game full of strategic choices, time looping, and difficult puzzles. The story is centered around Colt Vahn who relives the same day over again and fights a diverse group of enemies to break the loop. From uncovering secrets to surviving Julianna’s invasions, Deathloop has a variety of challenges. The game also gives players the chance to practice some detective work during both the main missions and the side quests.

Each puzzle in Deathloop presents a unique test, and some of them can be quite difficult to figure out. To solve these puzzles, players will need to travel around the Isle of Blackreef finding hidden areas and vague clues. There are many mysteries throughout Deathloop, such as solving the Yerhva, Queen of Riddles, and figuring out the correct sequence for the Data Dassette puzzle.

Deahtloop‘s Data Cassette puzzle will be solved while following Fia’s Visionary lead, Afternoon Delight. Fia’s lead is obtained after completing Space Invader and finding the secret location in Fristad Rock. Unlike some of Deathloop‘s straightforward puzzles, such as Colt’s Apartment Safe code, the Data Cassette puzzle can be a bit confusing. The Cassettes are located in Fia and Charlie’s secret meeting place, but players will need to enter Fia’s Fortress for the solution. Her fortress is near the secret location in Fristad Rock, but it is only accessible at noon. There are four pictograms to find inside, and they correspond to symbols on a blueprint beside the Cassettes. Using the pictograms and the blueprint, players can find the correct numbers and sequence to solve the puzzle.

Solving the Data Cassette Puzzle in Deathloop

The Fortress is full of enemies, including Fia, who will set off a bomb and restart the time loop if she hears the alarm go off. Taking her out before searching for the pictograms makes it easier to find all the clues in one run. There are four pictograms to find in the Fortress, and the symbols are random, so the solution will differ between players. The pictograms stay in the same locations, but there are more than four in the Fortress, so players will need to use the clues found at the end of the Space Invader mission to locate the right ones. Each of the symbols is green and white on a bright red background and will be saved in the menu in a specific order.

After finding all the right pictograms, head back to Fia and Charlie’s secret meeting area. The blueprint on the console will have symbols that match the ones found in Fia’s Fortress. The pictograms will be covering or pointing to a number that corresponds to a Cassette. The order of the pictograms in the menu will indicate the correct sequence. Press the Cassettes in the right order to open the locked door revealing the Hideaway. This new area will reveal a unique opportunity to defeat two of Deathloop‘s Visionaries.

Once the puzzle is solved, the correct number sequence will be saved and can be used again when restarting the loop. Unlocking the Hideaway gives players the option to take out Charlie and Fia together by flooding their secret rendevous spot. Defeating them both in one go can reduce the time it takes to beat Deathloop. The challenging Data Cassette puzzle is available during one of Deathloop‘s Visionary leads, and players will need to solve it in order to complete the Afternoon Delight mission.

Deathloop is available now for Playstation 5 and PC.
