Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello teases the possibility of seeing his original Justice League end-credits scene in the Snyder Cut. Manganiello appeared as the famous mercenary in the post-credits scene of Justice League, but it wasn’t what was originally planned. Deathstroke was introduced to the DCEU thanks to the scene, while Lex Luthor’s comments teased the formation of the Legion of Doom.

Fans have been petitioning for the Snyder Cut since 2017, and it’s finally happening. Director Zack Snyder just recently announced the Snyder Cut is officially happening and will premiere on HBO Max in 2021. There’s been some debate over how much work would need to be done in order to fully complete the Snyder Cut, but it’s been estimated that $20-30 million could be spent on the new version of Justice League. The Snyder Cut could either be a 4-hour long movie or be split into multiple segments, and at this point, it seems that the actors won’t have to return to film new scenes but may need to provide new voicework. The Snyder Cut will revive a lot of Snyder’s original ideas, and maybe even the original Deathstroke scene.

While not a lot is known about the original end credits scene, Manganiello teased the possibility of seeing it when the Snyder Cut becomes available to stream. Given the emojis Manganiello included in his post, it looks like Batman and Deathstroke could have a brief battle in the scene. Manganiello’s original tweet can be seen below:

While the post-credits scene was changed in Justice League, there were even bigger changes made from Zack Snyder’s cut of the film. A lot of backstories for the main characters were slashed, and most of Superman’s scenes were reportedly reshot, resulting in the Henry Cavill mustache debacle. Other superheroes like Martian Manhunter and The Atom were also supposed to be introduced, although they likely wouldn’t have suited up in the film.

Deathstroke’s scene in the Snyder Cut may not be as big as some of the other action sequences in the film, but fans will no doubt be excited to see what was originally intended for the movie. Deathstroke appeared in Titans with Esai Morales as the character, but many are curious to see what Manganiello would have done with the role. The solo Deathstroke movie doesn’t appear to be happening at this point despite Manganiello’s optimism, but at least fans might get to see more of his Deathstroke in the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
