While he is normally depicted as a powerful Demon Slayer, Zenitsu becomes a demon himself in powerful new fan art. Upon his introduction, Zenitsu isn’t one of the most skilled demon killers while training to be a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. While he eventually proves himself to be a valuable asset in the fight against the demonic threat, Zenitsu has never been as powerful as he seems to be in this new piece of fan art in which he has become the thing he has sworn to destroy.

Zenitsu was introduced in Demon Slayer Chapter 6 by Koyoharu Gotouge. Zenitsu was depicted as being one of the weaker trainees for the Demon Slayer Corps though fans soon realized that his true power had yet to be uncovered. The reason Zenitsu isn’t as powerful upon his debut was because his own anxieties were holding back his naturally powerful abilities. Once he let himself loose, Zenitsu was able to take on powerful demons single-handedly including when he decapitated Tongue Demon and then defeated Son Spider Demon all by himself.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a Tweet by JeeZ, the artist takes the already powerful Zenitsu and ups the ante with a demonic edge. The post has two images of the demonic Zenitsu with both showing how powerful the character would be if he were to give into the darkness he has sworn to destroy. In the first image, Zenitsu is flooded with dark energy as demonic markings litter his face and body with claws and fangs to match. The second shows Zenitsu exploding with power as blue electricity covers his body, pouring out of his eyes and covering him in evil power.

This piece of fan art is a complete fiction as Zenitsu has never become a demon as depicted in the original artwork, but what it does is imagine a world in which that would happen in this way and shows fans the product of such an event. Given Zenitsu’s already high level of power that still hasn’t reached its fullest potential, the demon that Zenitsu would become seemingly unlocks that power in the fan art while also adding a certain level of dark energy itself, which would make this evil version of Zenitsu a nearly unstoppable threat.

Zenitsu seems to have reached an all-new level of power in this fan-made demon form, though based on his character in Demon Slayer, fans shouldn’t expect anything like this to be canon anytime soon. The fact that fans most likely won’t see the Demon Slayer become a demon as shown in this artwork in the main storyline makes the fan art that much cooler as it is a creative reimagining of a fan-favorite character. A version of Zenitsu that has never been seen before has come to light as Demon Slayer’s Zenitsu becomes a demon in powerful new fan art.
