Atraks-1 Fallen Exo is the first boss of the Deep Stone Crypt raid in Destiny 2, and defeating him will require the Fireteam to recall and reuse the Deep Stone Crypt security mechanics. Once again, the Scanner and Operator will have roles to play, and the team will be divided for the second time in this raid. Defeating Atraks-1 requires communication between all Fireteam members.

For this encounter, no Champions will be present. This entire fight is filled with constant red bar enemies, yellow bar Vandals and Sentinel Servitors, and multiple copies of Atraks-1 that are immune to damage. Each damage phase only lasts a short time to prevent the team from being wiped. Ideally, each player is going to want to bring a strong red-bar-killing weapon, an Exotic Fusion or Linear Fusion Rifle like Null Composure, Merciless, Telesto, Vex Mythoclast, or Lorentz Driver, and a Legendary Sword like Falling Guillotine or a class sword with great perks.

Fireteams will send three teammates to the Space Station (top arena) via the pods while the other three remain on Europa. They can begin the encounter by grabbing the purple orb near the pods. Guardians should kill as many enemies as possible until the Vandal enemies appear. A Vandal in the Space Station will carry the Scanner mod, while another on Europa carries the Operator mod. Teams need one person from each trio to grab these mods. Then, the Fireteam can defeat the remaining Sentinel Servitors.

Destiny 2: Defeat Atraks-1 in the Deep Stone Crypt

After all of the Sentinels have been killed, the Scanner will locate a yellow copy of Atraks-1 starting a wipe mechanic. Players should deal as much damage as possible to him in the brief seconds during which he is no longer immune. The Falling Guillotine’s whirlwind mechanic allows Guardians to deal a lot of rapid damage. Once the damage phase is over, the Fireteam should send the Scanner to the Europa team via the Augmentation Terminal. One of their members will have to grab the Scanner mod and proceed with finding the correct Atraks-1 copy.

Every time an Atraks-1 clone is defeated, a purple orb will drop on the body and begin to count down. The countdown continues as a team member picks it up to receive the Atraks-1 Replication debuff. Once the debuff countdown reaches zero, an Atrak-1 copy will spawn, killing that team member and wiping the team. After each damage phase, a teammate from both teams should pick up this debuff and meet up top near the airlocks. The Europa teammate with the Operator mod will have to take a pod to the Space Station and shoot open an airlock door. Then, the debuffed teammates run inside the airlock, and the Operator shoots them to remove the buff. Those two teammates must exit the airlock quickly. The debuff will continue to count down inside the airlock without causing any damage.

While the Operator debuff solution is taking place, the Europa teammate with the Scanner mod needs to send the mod back up to the Space Station team. The cycle repeats until Atraks-1 is on his last bit of health. At this point, all teammates will have to meet at the Space Station, and, with Scanner in hand, one teammate will lead the group to four copies of Atraks-1. They will face the copies one at a time, but if the fourth copy isn’t defeated, the whole team will wipe, and the encounter will need to start again. Once the Fireteam defeats Atraks-1, they can continue the raid.
