Reed’s Regret (Adept) is a new a Linear Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost, and unlocking it requires players to complete the Trials of Osiris. Reed’s Regret is the first-ever Stasis Linear Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2, and it now belongs to the very small category of Power Weapons that can deal Stasis damage. As a Legendary weapon, Reed’s Regret pairs nicely with a few of the Exotic Fusion and Linear Fusion Rifles that take advantage of the Seasonal Artifact Mods in Destiny 2.

Reed’s Regret (Adept) is nearly identical to Reed’s Regret, but as an adept weapon, it can use adept mods in addition to the normal set of weapon mods. As it stands, Reed’s Regret (Adept) is the best Legendary Linear Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost. As its uniquely golden design suggests, Reed’s Regret (Adept) is only available to earn from Trials of Osiris, specifically for those who reach the Light House.

The Light House is the pinnacle of end-game places to be in Destiny 2, and it’s only available for those who go Flawless in the Trials of Osiris. Depending on the Passage Card players choose to use, Trials of Osiris Flawless means losing no matches and earning an equivalent of seven matches won in a row. It is one of the hardest feats to accomplish in Destiny 2. On top of being able to earn an adept weapon like Reed’s Regret, various crafting materials like Enhancement Cores, Prisms, Ascendant Shards, and unique banners and Trials of Osiris shaders are all up for grabs at the Light House.

How to Get Reed’s Regret (Adept) in Destiny 2

In addition to only being available from the Light House, Destiny 2’s Reed’s Regret (Adept) can only be earned as a reward during certain weeks in Trials of Osiris. Trials of Osiris rotates its adept weapons weekly, so players will want to check in every weekend to see what the adept weapon reward is. Trials of Osiris lasts from Friday during the daily reset until Tuesday during the weekly reset.

Reed’s Regret (Adept) has a lot of great perks, but there are a few that make it stand out as the best Legendary Linear Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2. Reed’s Regret (Adept) can drop with the perks Vorpal Weapon and Firing Line in the fourth column, and, aside from the normal version of Reed’s Regret, it’s the only Linear Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2 that drops with Triple Tap.

Since Reed’s Regret (Adept) is such a hard weapon to come by, the minimum perks that any player should shoot for are Triple Tap with either Vorpal Weapon or Firing Line. Triple Tap returns one round to the magazine after rapidly landing precision hits, while Firing Line increases damage output when two or more allies are around. Vorpal Weapon deals increased damage to bosses, solidifying Reed’s Regret (Adept) as a highly usable weapon in endgame PvE content.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
