Learn how to get the Cartesian Coordinate Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2, the only non-sunset Rapid-Fire Solar Energy Fusion Rifle in the game. With many of the Season of the Lost Seasonal Artifact Mods being built around Fusion and Linear Fusion Rifle end-game build, the Cartesian Coordinate is a weapon that everyone should seek for those end-game activities. Cartesian Coordinate will serve two primary purposes, the first is to break the Solar shields of a Master or Grandmaster Nightfall boss, the second is to apply the Particle Deconstruction debuff to the boss.

For those who are new, unaware, or returning to Destiny 2, some of the end-game activities will have a Mission Modifier called Match Game. Match Game requires enemy shields to be broken by a weapon of the same energy type. So, for example, since the Cartesian Coordinate is a Solar Energy weapon, it will be perfect for when The Disgraced Strike becomes the Grandmaster Nightfall – because Navota has a Solar shield.

Luckily, the Cartesian Coordinate is going to be an easy-to-acquire weapon, and odds are any Guardian who plays regularly has already acquired a God Roll but most likely deleted this Energy Fusion Rifle because of the lack of use it had in Season of the Chosen and Splicer. Now, in certain circumstances, the Cartesian Coordinate can be part of a God Tier loadout. In short, the Cartesian Coordinate can be acquired from any Legendary Engram or any Unfocused Umbral Engram – but it can be target farmed in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Cartesian Coordinate Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2

With Umbral Engrams, the Cartesian Coordinate can be focused from Season of the Splicer engrams at the Prismatic Recaster in the HELM. It’s available from Sol System Archive and Shock Trooper focuses. Sol System Archive focuses will grant Legendary weapons from around the system, but the Shock Trooper focuses will award either the Cartesian Coordinate or the Retrofuturist Shotgun. To focus on a Shock Trooper engram, use an Umbral Engram and 75 Decrypted Data.

A great Cartesian Coordinate roll is going to be relatively easy to come by, but it may take a few focuses to get the right one. Any of the Legendary Scopes are going to be viable for an end-game loadout, and either the Liquid Coils or Enhanced Battery are going to be the best Legendary Battery options. Feeding Frenzy will be the best Legendary Perk to have in the first column, with Lead from Gold as a good second option. Vorpal Weapon is the best Legendary Perk two option and for Master and Grandmaster Nightfall purposes an absolute must-have in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
