The Last Breath Auto Rifle is a weapon that has been reissued in Destiny 2Season of the Lost. This means that in addition to being light-level ready, The Last Breath will now drop with updated perks. This is one of the six weapons of the Nine that has been brought back from past seasons, perfect for new light and veteran players alike.

Season of the Lost has one Artifact Champion mod for Auto Rifles, bringing the anti-barrier mod back from Season of the Lost. The Last Breath is a perfect choice to use for this mod because it’s a Legendary Kinetic weapon, leaving space for Exotic like Trinity Ghoul or One Thousand Voices. Additionally, some of the new perks that The Last Breath drops with make it a great choice for dealing with lesser enemies throughout all of Destiny 2’s various activities.

The Last Breath can only be obtained in Destiny 2‘s Prophecy Dungeon. Every week, any player’s account has the chance to earn The Last Breath from the hexahedron gravity encounter chest, but only once per character. If it doesn’t drop for any of a player’s characters then they’ll have to wait until the next weekly reset before they can try to earn it once more. After it drops, The Last Breath can be found in the two secret chests in addition to the original chest.

How to Get The Last Breath Auto Rifle in Destiny 2

The Last Breath is one of the only weapons in Destiny 2 that can drop with Demolitionist in the first Legendary perk column, just like the Judgment Hand Cannon. For Auto Rifles, this perk is an absolute blessing for dealing with lesser enemies at any level of content. The Demolitionist perk allows The Last Breath to generate grenade energy with each defeat. In addition to already having 43 rounds per magazine, Demolitionist sets up its user to be an all-out offensive machine in PvE.

Depending on the user’s playstyle, there are actually several rolls for The Last Breath that are phenomenal to receive. Arrowhead and Ricochet Rounds are the God Roll perks for the barrel and magazine slots, respectively. While Demolitionist is going to be the top-tier perk choice in the first column, but Subsistence is another great perk to have in lieu of the former.

The second column is where Demolitionist really shows its strength because the best Destiny 2 weapon perks available for The Last Breath are Osmosis, Adrenaline Junkie, Adagio, One For All, and Frenzy. In short, all of these perks either grant additional damage to The Last Breath itself, additional damage after a grenade final blow, or alter the damage type of The Last Breath based on the grenade used. The best, however, is that all of these combinations are great for PvE and PvP.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
