A new powerful Titan Exotic helmet has been introduced in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen called Loreley Splendor Helm. The new armor piece is one of six different Exotic gear pieces that are specific to The Witch Queen expansion, and it’s one of the two that were introduced for the Titan class. Although Void 3.0 saw massive improvements to the Void subclass, the Loreley Splendor Helm is an Exotic that players will want to get their hands on in anticipation of “Solar 3.0” releasing later in 2022.

Like many Exotic gear pieces, the Loreley Splendor Helm’s intrinsic trait is designed with one subclass in mind, specifically the Code of the Siegebreaker Solar class. While The Witch Queen still has fixed Titan builds for their Solar and Arc subclasses, the Loreley Splendor Helm empowers Titans that use the Code of the Siegebreaker and the Sunspots they can create. A Sunspot is something that can be created in this subclass with grenade, melee, and Sun Warrior kills. When the active Sun Warrior Titan passes through it, grenade and melee abilities regenerate faster and the Super lasts longer in addition to increasing the damage dealt. The Hammers thrown create a Sunspot on impact as well, and now everything is empowered through the new Exotic Helmet.

The Loreley Splendor Helm’s intrinsic perk is called Cauterizing Flame, and when Titans have Sun Warrior the Sunspot will heal them. Additionally, a Sunspot can be created at the Guardian’s location if they are critically wounded. While the Loreley Splendor Helm has been introduced alongside weapon crafting in Destiny 2, it, unfortunately, cannot be created from a pattern.

Where To Get The Loreley Splendor Helm In Destiny 2

The first way that players can get the new helmet is by beating the Legendary difficulty of The Witch Queen campaign with the Titan class and choosing it as a reward afterward from Ikora. Guardians will have to choose between the Loreley Splendor Helm and the Hoarfrost-Z chest armor, and if they want the Exotic helmet then they should actually choose the chest piece. Both pieces of armor will drop with incredibly low stats, but the one that isn’t chosen can be acquired with better stats later on.

By completing a Legendary or Master Lost Sector, players can immediately get the Exotic that they didn’t choose as a reward. Both can still be earned as a reward, but Destiny 2 prioritizes Exotic engram unlocks based on what players don’t currently own, meaning whichever option isn’t chosen will be the reward in the Lost Sector. Regardless, the Legendary difficulty of the campaign has to be completed first before either gear piece can be earned in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
