One of the biggest changes made to Destiny 2 through The Witch Queen expansion is the ability for players to unlock and use all types of Void grenades. Like the other subclasses, Void grenades were previously divided up among Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks, but the Void 3.0 update has allowed players to use all eight types of grenades on a single character. However, when players load into Destiny 2 for the first time they’ll find that not all of the Void grenades are readily available to use.

The subclass changes in Void 3.0 are available for all players, regardless of whether they paid for the actual Witch Queen expansion in Destiny 2 or remain a free-to-play member. These changes have revitalized the way that players are able to customize their character’s Void abilities in a way that reflects the Stasis subclass structure. So, in addition to being able to choose which kind of grenade players want to use, they can also pair it with Fragments and Aspects that compliment the other Void abilities accordingly.

While the Void grenades are now a versatile ability between each of the classes, the specific class abilities still remain tethered to the different characters. Furthermore, Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters all have their own Supers, jumps, and melee abilities, but the Fragments and Aspects that complement their abilities are the same for each class. Additionally, each class begins with the Void grenades they had before the launch of Destiny 2’s Season of the Risen, so players only need to unlock the grenades that weren’t normally part of that class.

Where To Get Every Void Grenade In Destiny 2

To unlock the Void grenade abilities, players will need to visit Ikora in the Tower and purchase the remaining grenade abilities. As Bungie continues to update Destiny 2 throughout 2022, the other subclasses like Solar and Arc will be reworked as well, and Ikora will likely serve as the vendor for all 3.0 abilities. Each of the Void grenades costs players 3,000 Glimmer, and players will have to purchase the Void grenades separately for each class. Fortunately, all of the Glimmer needed can be easily earned in the free-to-play activities such as Vanguard Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible in Destiny 2.

As soon as players can freely travel to the Tower, they can buy the Void grenades from Ikora and meditate in the light beside her to fully unlock them. Ikora’s inventory also contains the already unlocked abilities for everything in 3.0, but players won’t have access to the locked Fragments until after the new Raid is available in The Witch Queen expansion. Luckily, the Raid will be live on March 5, 2022, which means players can get to work on their best Void class builds in Destiny 2 before long.
