A Destiny 2 Hunter’s impressive throwing knife killstreak has wowed Reddit users. Destiny 2 is currently in a bit of a content lull, stuck between the end of Festival of the Lost (Destiny’s annual Halloween event) and the launch of a new dungeon alongside December’s Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. With PvE content taking a backseat for the time being, players have instead been jumping into the game’s PvP modes to kill the time.

Bungie is doubling down on this PvP focus throughout the month of November with multiple “Bungie Bounties” targeting Destiny 2 content creators. These events are scheduled time periods where selected content creators become the prime target of the entire community. The company has also recently been experimenting with Destiny 2‘s endgame PvP mode, the Trials of Osiris, in an attempt to make the mode (and its valuable loot) more accessible to the average Guardian. Destiny 2‘s Crucible has been notoriously difficult to balance, as seasonal additions to the title’s loot pool have been known to upend the Crucible on multiple occasions.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a Reddit post, user its_alex00 has shared a Crucible killing streak carried out by Hunter player Abraxas_HD that must be seen to be believed.  The clip shows the hunter hit an incredible four straight headshots against the opposing team. While Hunters are known to be a powerful force in the Crucible, the skill and patience on display during this killstreak is impressive, to say the least.  The fact that the Hunter was airborne for all four headshots (in addition to the very small windows in which these knives could have hit) elevates the killstreak to truly impressive levels.

Reddit users were floored by the play, with responses ranging from praise to outright confusion. “You did get full YEE-HAW on these guys said one user, while others questioned why the Hunter was not themselves under fire, stating “What amazes me about these clips is people even surviving this long. If I would’ve poked out my head I’d be dead.” The post skyrocketed its way to the top of r/Destiny2, ending up with over 4500 upvotes.

While things are ramping up for the game’s next major PvE update in one month’s time, some are asking if Destiny 2’s upcoming content and cosmetics are worth the price that is being asked. Until recent experiments with the Trials of Osiris, the game’s community has held the opinion that Bungie cares little for PvP updates or balancing. A lack of transparency regarding future plans for the game modes has only fueled the fires of speculation, but even with the game in its current state, it’s great to see that Destiny 2 can still deliver jaw-dropping multiplayer moments like this from time to time.
