Infamous YouTuber CallMeCarson has finally resurfaced during Twitch streamer Ludwig’s subathon stream, asking Ludwig to stop playing a video featuring himself. This is the first time the famous Minecraft YouTuber has appeared online since disappearing from the internet amidst allegations of grooming minors in January of this year.

Carson King, better known as CallMeCarson, first found fame on YouTube with his Minecraft videos along with a group of Minecraft YouTubers known as Lunch Club, gaining over 3 million subscribers on his channel before the allegations of grooming his underage fans came to light. The accusations emerged publicly during a Drama Alert interview on YouTube with two fellow Lunch Club members Hugbox and Traves, where it was revealed that King (now 21 years old) had been inappropriately messaging an underage fan when she was 17 and he was 19.

Popular Twitch streamer Ludwig has been running a subathon that has been ongoing for the past three weeks (and is still going now), and it appears that CallMeCarson may have potentially saved the stream from being taken down prematurely on. Dexerto reports that King emerged to privately text Ludwig during his Twitch subathon stream on Monday, four months after four months of having made no appearances online since he was accused of sexual misconduct. To fill the dead air for subathon viewers, Ludwig’s channel plays videos when he has to step away from the stream. A Twitch Jeopardy video from 2019 featuring King was played, and Ludwig quickly returned to switch off the video after it had been playing for a short while, much to the relief of his chat.

Upon returning to the stream to stop the video, Ludwig proceeded to explain to his viewers that he was alerted about the potentially flaggable situation by none other than Carson himself, explaining, “You wanna know who told me that the Carson video was playing? Carson. Sent me a text. He went on to express his relief on being warned about the video before it had fully played, saying, “Good call Carson. Saved. Carson saved us. From Carson.” Viewers were surprised to find out that King had reached out to Ludwig, due to his absence from the internet for the past few months, and they found that CallMeCarson was listed as a viewer in the stream.

No doubt many of King’s fans and those in the Minecraft YouTube community were left in the dark, as he has yet to formally respond to the accusations levelled against him. Fellow ex-Lunch Box members have also stated that the group’s disbanding was due to Carson’s admission to sexual misconduct with a minor early last year. While it is unclear whether King is working up to releasing a statement or doing damage control behind the scenes, many of his former group have cut ties with him. Former Lunch Club member Charlie Dalgleish, known online as Slimesicle, released a statement that he had reported King to the federal authorities upon hearing Carson’s initial confession to the group.

Although it is unclear whether the authorities will act upon these allegations, there are many that believe that the massive online response towards Carson’s actions were too severe. However, sexual misconduct or harassment from those in a position of power should never be taken lightly, especially when minors are involved. Outside of this brief semi-public appearance, however, it’s not clear if the online community will accept CallMeCarson should he attempt to make a YouTube or Twitch return.
